Writing exams this week

Disciple of Prayer
My ### is currently writing exams this week...he usually struggles in Math and language....kindly pray for him so he can write confidently and excels in the subject. Need the power of the Holy Spirit on him to guide him and give him more confidence. Yours sincerely, ###

We join you in lifting up your dear one before the throne of grace as he writes his exams this week, especially in Math and language where he has struggled. We understand the anxiety that can come with examinations, and we bring him before the Lord asking for clarity, peace, and confidence that comes from God.

We are encouraged that you asked for the power of the Holy Spirit to guide him, for God promises wisdom to those who ask. James 1:5 says, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We pray that the Holy Spirit will bring to his remembrance what he has studied, calm his heart, and help him to think clearly and write confidently.

We also remember the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray against any spirit of fear or anxiety that would cause him to doubt or freeze, and we ask God to replace it with a sound mind and steady confidence. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that peace will guard his heart as he enters the exam room.

We encourage him to do his part diligently as well, for God honors faithful work. Proverbs 16:3 says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. And Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. We pray he will do his best for the glory of God, trusting the results to Him, and we pray that he will excel not for pride but to show forth the good gifts God has given him.

We notice your request mentions the Holy Spirit but does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive the Holy Spirit. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and can boldly approach God in prayer. Romans 10:9 says, If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We pray that both you and your dear one know this saving grace and trust fully in Jesus.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this young student to You and ask that You pour out Your wisdom and understanding upon him. Guide his mind as he writes, help him to recall what he has learned, to understand the questions clearly, and to answer with confidence and excellence. Calm any nervousness and fill him with Your peace and assurance. Let Your Holy Spirit lead him, and let his efforts bring glory to You. We commit his exams into Your hands, trusting that You have good plans for him. Strengthen and encourage the family as they support him in prayer. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We are holding you and your loved one in prayer this week as he sits for these exams. We hear how much you care for him, and how you want him to walk into that exam room with steadiness instead of worry, especially in Math and language where things have been harder.

Wanting the Holy Spirit's help for him is such a good prayer. We think of the Spirit as our Helper and Comforter who stays close, quiets fear, and brings clarity when our thoughts feel crowded. That confidence you are asking for is not about trying harder on his own, but about knowing he is not alone in that room and that he is deeply loved no matter the result.

One simple thing that often helps in an exam week is a calm, short routine together before he leaves. A brief prayer with him, a reminder that you are proud of his effort already, and making sure he gets rest and a little encouragement between papers can do a lot to steady his heart.

Father, we lift this young man to You in Jesus' name. Fill him with Your peace as he writes, help him to remember what he has learned and to think clearly, and guard him from fear. Give him confidence in You, and give his family rest as they support him. Let Your will be done and let him feel Your nearness through it all. Amen.

We join you in prayer for your child as he writes his examinations this week, and we bring his need for help in Math and language before the throne of grace.

You have asked rightly for the help of the Holy Spirit, for we are taught that without the Holy Spirit we utterly fail, and that He is the Author of all true life and power within us. It is the Holy Spirit who helps our infirmities and teaches us to pray, and it is He who can give a calm and quiet confidence to a young heart that is prone to fear. We are told to grieve not the Holy Spirit, and one way we grieve Him is by unbelief, by suspecting the truthfulness and goodness of our heavenly Father. Therefore let us come with simple faith, trusting not in our own strength or cleverness, but in the might of God the Holy Spirit alone.

We pray that the Lord will grant your child a sound mind and a peaceful heart as he sits for his papers, that he may recall what he has been taught and set it down with clarity and diligence. May the Lord keep him from anxious fear and give him confidence that is grounded in humble dependence upon God, who gives wisdom liberally to those who ask Him. May he be helped to do his best with faithfulness, and to leave the result in the hands of the Lord who does all things well.

We also pray for you who love him and watch over him, that you may be given grace to encourage him and to point him to the Lord Jesus, in whose name alone we find salvation and every blessing. Let us ask that this season of trial may be used to teach him to pray in the Holy Spirit and to trust the Saviour more fully, knowing that true strength comes not from the flesh but from God.

We commend him to the care of our gracious Father, praying that the Holy Spirit will be his helper and comforter in these days, and that whether in much or in little, he may learn to do all to the glory of Christ. May the Lord grant him peace, establish his thoughts, and give you both rest in His faithful love. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We thank you for sharing your request for your child as he writes his exams this week. We join you in bringing him before the Lord, especially for Math and language where he has struggled, asking that God would grant him clarity of mind, steady confidence, and peace as he does this work.

Scripture reminds us not to cast away our confidence, for it has great recompense of reward, and that God not only forgives us but makes us dear to Himself by His grace. He is able to make those who trust Him full of confidence, not through our own strength, but through His power and glory which have no limit. The hope God asks of us is to trust Him for what is to come, and to wait with patience, knowing He gives abundant help to those who hope in Him.

We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide your child, calm any fear or trembling, and help him to remember what he has studied and to think clearly. We ask that God would replace anxiety with a manly confidence and quiet trust, that he may do his best with diligence and honesty, and leave the results in the Lord's hands. We pray also that through this time he will learn to seek wisdom from God, who gives generously to all who ask, and to find his worth and hope not in a grade alone, but in Christ.

Father, we lift this young student to You. Grant him understanding, focus, and confidence as he sits for his exams. Guard his heart from fear, help him to work faithfully, and let Your Spirit lead him in all truth. May he know Your presence with him in the exam room and Your grace whatever the outcome. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray with him, to encourage steady preparation and rest, and to remind him that God sees his efforts and loves him deeply. May the Lord grant him peace and strength each day this week.

Thank you for bringing your son before the Lord in prayer. It is a good and right thing to lift up a child to God, for Jesus showed how precious children are to Him and how He gladly receives them. God sees your care for your son and hears your request.

We join you in asking that the Holy Spirit will guide him and give him a calm and confident mind as he writes. Scripture teaches that God is our helper and the one who upholds us, and when we bring our needs to Him we can move from simply asking to resting in confidence that He will take care of what concerns us. Even before we see the answer, we can have peace because our focus is on Him. That is our prayer for your son, that as he prays and as you pray for him, anxiety would be replaced by assurance, and he would be able to do his work with a steady heart, trusting that God is with him.

We also understand that some subjects are harder than others. The Scriptures speak of training a child in the way he should go, and that phrase points to training according to his own way, recognizing that each child is different in personality and gifts and struggles. Part of that training requires great patience, much like teaching a child to walk. You expect stumbling and falling along the way, and you gently help him up and encourage him to try again. Struggling in math and language does not mean failure, it is part of learning, and God is patient as understanding grows step by step.

So we pray for more than just good marks. We pray that God will help him to learn with understanding, to remember what he has studied, and to express it clearly. We pray that he will have confidence not in himself alone, but in the Lord who helps him, and that this confidence will quiet fear and let him think clearly. We pray that he will know the simplicity of childlike faith, trusting Jesus, and that this trust will be his strength.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this young student to You. You love him and You know his needs. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, grant him peace, guide his mind, and give him confidence as he writes his exams. Help him to recall what he has learned and to do his best, especially in the subjects that are difficult for him. Uphold him and let him know that You are his helper. Give wisdom and encouragement to his parents as they support and train him. We place him in Your hands and thank You that You care for him. Amen.
