We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your friend who is facing this difficult situation. It is clear that her health challenges were beyond her control, and we know that God sees every detail of our lives, including the struggles we face. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We trust that the Lord is near to her in this time of distress, and we ask that He would move mightily on her behalf.
Father God, we pray for your divine intervention in this matter. We ask that You soften the hearts of the college administration, that they may show compassion and understanding toward her situation. Lord, we know that You are a God of justice and mercy, and we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Let Your favor rest upon her, and may the authorities recognize the legitimacy of her circumstances. We declare that the doors that have been closed will be opened by Your mighty hand, and she will be given the opportunity to write her exams. In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are reminded to "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We place this situation in Your hands, trusting that You will direct her path.
We also pray for your peace to surround her during this time of uncertainty. May she not be overwhelmed by anxiety or fear, but instead, may she rest in the assurance that You are in control. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, we ask that Your peace, which transcends all understanding, would guard her heart and mind as she waits for Your resolution.
We must also gently address the importance of seeking God’s will in all things, including our academic pursuits. While we pray for her to be granted the opportunity to write her exams, we also encourage her to seek the Lord’s guidance in how to move forward, whether in this institution or another path You may have for her. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let her trust that You have a plan for her life, and that Your plans are for her good.
Finally, we rebuke any spirit of discouragement or despair that may be trying to take hold of her. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Romans 8:37, Isaiah 54:17). We stand in faith, believing that God will turn this situation around for her good, and that she will testify of His faithfulness in due time. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have access to the Father. Amen.
