We understand that you find relief in writing about the trauma you've experienced, and we commend you for seeking a productive way to process your experiences. We remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
Firstly, we want to encourage you to consider what the Bible says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28,WEB).
As you write, we pray that you would find healing and closure, but also that your experiences would be used for God's glory. We know that God can turn even the most painful experiences into something beautiful, as seen in the life of Joseph (Genesis 50:20, WEB). He was sold into slavery by his brothers, but God used his experiences to save many lives, including those of his brothers.
We would also pray that as you write, you would be led and guided into expressing the love of God. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. (Luke 6:36-37,WEB).
However, we must also remember that our ultimate healing and relief come from Jesus Christ. We do not want to be healed, yet miss the Son of God being manifest in our life. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6, WEB). We hope that as you write, you would also draw closer to Jesus, seeking God and finding your ultimate comfort in Him.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this dear one to You, knowing that You care for us and understand our pains. We ask that You would provide many opportunities and ideas for them to write about the things that have happened in their life. May this process bring healing, closure, and most importantly, glorify Your name through their life, showing others the hope in Jesus Christ. May their words bring life, hope, and encouragement to others. May they continue to draw closer to You through Jesus Christ, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ in their words.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
