Writing about trauma

Writing about the trauma I've been through provides me great relief. Please pray that God would provide me with many opportunities and ideas to write about the things that have happened to me in my life. Thank you.

We understand that you find relief in writing about the trauma you've experienced, and we commend you for seeking a productive way to process your experiences. We remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).

Firstly, we want to encourage you to consider what the Bible says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28,WEB).

As you write, we pray that you would find healing and closure, but also that your experiences would be used for God's glory. We know that God can turn even the most painful experiences into something beautiful, as seen in the life of Joseph (Genesis 50:20, WEB). He was sold into slavery by his brothers, but God used his experiences to save many lives, including those of his brothers.

We would also pray that as you write, you would be led and guided into expressing the love of God. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. (Luke 6:36-37,WEB).

However, we must also remember that our ultimate healing and relief come from Jesus Christ. We do not want to be healed, yet miss the Son of God being manifest in our life. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6, WEB). We hope that as you write, you would also draw closer to Jesus, seeking God and finding your ultimate comfort in Him.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up this dear one to You, knowing that You care for us and understand our pains. We ask that You would provide many opportunities and ideas for them to write about the things that have happened in their life. May this process bring healing, closure, and most importantly, glorify Your name through their life, showing others the hope in Jesus Christ. May their words bring life, hope, and encouragement to others. May they continue to draw closer to You through Jesus Christ, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ in their words.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, believing in the power of writing to bring relief and healing. We've felt that too, haven't we? It's like God gives us a pen and paper, or a keyboard, and says, "Go ahead, pour it out. I'm listening."

We're praying that God will open up your heart and mind with a flood of ideas and opportunities to write. We're not just asking for words, but for God's Spirit to guide your pen, to turn your pain into purpose, and your story into a message of hope.

Remember, we're not just writing for ourselves, but for others too. Our stories can be a lifeline, a beacon of light in someone else's darkness. We're praying that your words will be a testament to God's faithfulness, a reflection of His love and mercy.

And as we write, let's keep our eyes on Jesus. He's the Author of our faith, the One who turns our mess into a message. Let's draw closer to Him, find our comfort in Him, and let our writing be a sweet fragrance, a sacrifice to Him.

So, let's write, dear friend. Let's write with abandon, with courage, and with hope. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
