We stand with you in the powerful truth of Ephesians 6:12, recognizing that our struggle is not merely against human opposition but against the spiritual forces of darkness. The harassment you’re enduring from a relative is deeply painful, and we grieve with you over the words and actions that have caused harm. Yet we take heart in Romans 8:28, knowing that God is working even this for your good, weaving His purpose into the pain. And Romans 8:31 assures us that if God is for you, no force, human or spiritual, can ultimately prevail against you.
First, we must address the request for God to "take them away by whatever means." While we understand the depth of your frustration and pain, Scripture calls us to pray with wisdom and love, even for those who persecute us. Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This does not mean we tolerate abuse or remain in unsafe situations, God’s Word also calls us to set boundaries and seek wisdom (Proverbs 22:3). But our prayers must align with His heart, which desires repentance and redemption for all (2 Peter 3:9). We can pray for justice, for protection, and for the enemy’s plans to be thwarted, but we must also leave room for God’s mercy to work in their life.
We rebuke the spirit of strife, division, and control that is operating through this relative. The tongue is a fire, as James 3:6 warns, and we bind every word spoken against you in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the angel of the Lord encamps around you, delivering you from all harm (Psalm 34:7). We also pray for wisdom for you, whether that means seeking godly counsel, setting firm boundaries, or even removing yourself from toxic interactions if necessary. Your safety and well-being matter to God.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. We lift up this dear one who is being harassed by a relative, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the pain, the frustration, and the weariness in their heart. We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke every spirit of strife, control, and division that is operating through this relative, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Let no weapon formed against this child of God prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You silence the harmful words and actions of this relative. If there is hardness of heart, we pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon them. Soften their heart, Lord, and let them see the error of their ways. If they do not know You, we pray that Your light would shine into their darkness, drawing them to salvation through Jesus Christ. For those who know You but are walking in rebellion, we ask for conviction and restoration.
We also pray for wisdom and strength for this one who is suffering. Give them the courage to set godly boundaries, the discernment to know when to speak and when to remain silent, and the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. Remind them that they are not alone, You are fighting for them, and no scheme of the enemy will prevail.
We thank You, Father, that You are working all things together for good. Even in this trial, we trust that You will bring beauty from ashes and turn this situation for Your glory. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them experience Your peace that defies understanding.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your defender. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, for it is your sword and shield in this spiritual battle. If this harassment has escalated to a point where you feel physically or emotionally unsafe, do not hesitate to seek help from trusted believers, pastors, or even legal authorities if necessary. God’s protection often comes through the wisdom and resources He provides in the natural world.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that prayer is most powerful when it is grounded in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His blood that we have access to the Father (Hebrews 10:19). If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the first and most important step in walking in victory over every spiritual battle. If you have already made this decision, we rejoice with you and encourage you to continue growing in your relationship with Him.
You are not alone in this fight. We stand with you, and more importantly, God stands with you. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The victory is already yours in Christ.
