Worship in Spirit & Truth Jn 4:23, Receive from Throne Grace Heb 4:16 Wisdom to Walk Col 1:9-11 Priorities Tit 3:14 Teams 1 Cor 3:9 Fruit Jn 15:7-8 🍇

Your prayer reflects a deep desire to walk close to the Lord, and that is a beautiful thing to bring before Him. The longing to worship the Father in spirit and truth, to live in simple and pure devotion to Christ, and to bear fruit that remains is exactly what He delights to answer.

Scripture invites you to come with confidence to the throne of grace through Jesus Christ alone. He is the one mediator between God and man, the merciful high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, and through Him you can freely receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need. You do not need to go through another. You can come boldly because of what Christ has done. That grace is not earned. As you pictured, it is received freely, like a branch receiving life giving sap from the vine. As you abide in Christ, the true vine, His life flows into you quite naturally and the fruit follows.

Part of that fruit is wisdom, and your request for wisdom to know and walk out God's will is central. True wisdom is not the wisdom of this world. The world in its wisdom did not know God, and its wisdom comes to nothing. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and wisdom itself is better than rubies and more to be desired than wealth. Knowledge gives facts, but wisdom gives understanding for how to live. The Lord gives wisdom, and He lays up sound wisdom for those who walk uprightly. When you keep sound wisdom and discretion, they become life to your soul and grace to you, and you walk safely without stumbling.

There is a clear difference between earthly wisdom and the wisdom that comes from above. Earthly wisdom is marked by envy and strife and leads to confusion. The wisdom from God is pure, peaceable, and leads to a life of purity and peace. It is the wisdom God speaks among those who are growing toward maturity. It is the wisdom by which He founded the earth and established the heavens. That is the wisdom to pray for, not that your faith would stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

That wisdom then shapes your walk. After showing all that God has done for you in Christ, Scripture calls you to walk in a manner worthy of that calling. This is not striving to earn grace, but responding to grace already given. It is a walk in lowliness and meekness, guarding the unity of the Spirit, no longer walking as those who do not know God walk in the emptiness of their minds. As you grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, He conforms you more into the image of His Son.

I pray that the Father will give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, and open your understanding of His Word from cover to cover so you can handle it accurately and not be led into error. May He fill you with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so you can walk in a way that is worthy and pleasing to Him, being strengthened with all power for endurance and patience with joy, learning to give attention to what is most important and to meet pressing needs well. May He grant clarity and order, happy grace for daily duties, and genuine fellowship with Him and with those you serve alongside as fellow workers, as well as with family and friends.

I also join you in asking for protection from temptation and from every stumbling block, from sin and from deception and from the evil one, and for the joy that comes from fresh repentance and the assurance of forgiveness through the proclamation of Christ. Eye has not seen nor ear heard all that God has prepared for those who love Him, and He is able to make those things known by His Spirit as you draw near to Him.

May the Lord keep you close in His presence, in communion with Him, and cause your life to bear much fruit as you remain in Him. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
