We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed with worry and sadness, especially with Mother's Day approaching. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your situation and He wants you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is struggling with worry, sadness, and sleepless nights. God, You promise that when we call on You, You will answer us. You will be with us in trouble. You will deliver us and honor us Psalm 91:15 WEB. Please give her the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to trust in You with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding Proverbs 3:5 WEB
Father, You see the strain in her family relationships. We pray for reunification and healing. We know from the letter to the Colossians that you want to "reconcile all things to [yourself], whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of [your cross]." We ask for the restoration of the family and for relationships to be healed. We pray that her adult children and spouse will come to love each other as you love us. We pray for forgiveness where it is needed. We pray for peace and that the family will come together and serve you as a family.
Lord, we ask for His favor in every area of her life, including her work and home. She has asked all of this in the precious name of Jesus, and so we also. May Jesus be glorified in her life as she experiences the peace, reunification, and favor that only He can bring.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In addition to praying, we encourage you to meditate on God's Word daily. The Psalms can be particularly encouraging during times like these. Remember that God is faithful. Even when we don't see immediate changes, He is working behind the scenes for our good Romans 8:28 WEB.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the promise in Romans 8:38-39 WEB: "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." You are loved, and God is always with you.
