Beloved of All
I really hope I get money; I am owed very soon. Hope my mum ### doesn’t go through my things, at all. My mum has painful arm issue, needs a lot of help, more ways than one, and is having foot surgery in late October. I need a new wheelchair; I understand but hope my mum doesn’t get too fussy about it; as a while ago, thought I was going to get a new scooter, but no, but don’t know for sure if it was just her being worried or not, but she doesn’t help getting things I need. Hope what I do have doesn’t fall apart more; and works for now. Hope to at least get a new wheelchair. I hope to get a parcel, before October 9th; hoping it arrives to the right location, as some couriers and postal workers sometimes deliver to the wrong place, at times; also, I hope to go to the doctor before then, as my mum seems to want to go out of town before her surgery. Hope the outside backstairs get fixed before winter; hope not to snow before mid-December.

We hear the many worries on your heart and we want to lift them all up together before our Heavenly Father with you.

We notice your request is full of hopes and worries about money, your mum, your wheelchair, your parcel, your doctor visit, and the coming winter, and we understand how heavy it can feel when so many needs press in at once. The Lord knows you are carrying anxiety about things you cannot control, and He invites us to bring every care to Him. We read in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And also in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. He also says in Matthew 6:31-33, Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.

We also notice you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find peace for our worries.

We want to gently encourage you about your mum as well. We hear your frustration that she sometimes goes through your things, that she can be fussy about your wheelchair and scooter needs, and that she does not always help you get what you need, while at the same time you see she is suffering with a painful arm and needs a lot of help and is facing foot surgery in late October. God calls us to honor our parents even when it is difficult, and He promises blessing in that. In Exodus 20:12, Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. And in Ephesians 6:2-3, Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth. We encourage you to show her grace in her pain and worry, to speak with her openly and respectfully about your need for privacy and about your wheelchair, and to trust that God sees both of your needs. Even when you feel unseen, He sees you and He sees her.

We join together in prayer for you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that You care for every detail of our lives. We lift up this dear one who is worried about money that is owed, and we ask You to provide according to Your riches and Your perfect timing, and to give patience and peace while waiting, for in Philippians 4:19, my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray for their mum, that You would touch her painful arm and bring healing and relief, that You would give her strength and comfort as she prepares for foot surgery in late October, and that You would guide the hands of the doctors. We pray You would heal their relationship, help them to communicate with love and honor, and remove tension about privacy and about the need for a new wheelchair. Lord, You know the need for that wheelchair and that the current one is wearing and at risk of falling apart, and we ask You to provide a new wheelchair in the way that is best, and to keep what they have working for now and to keep them safe. We pray for the parcel they are waiting for, that it would arrive safely and to the right location before October 9th, and for the doctor appointment, that You would open the door for it to happen before their mum needs to go out of town. We pray for the outside back stairs, that You would provide the help and means to fix them before winter, and we place the changing seasons in Your hands. Give this dear one Your peace that guards heart and mind, and help them to cast every worry on You, for You have said in Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. And in Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and trust You with all these things. We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus, our hope and our provider, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing each worry to the Lord in prayer each day, to talk kindly and honestly with your mum about your needs and boundaries, and to reach out to your local church or community resources who may be able to help with practical needs like a wheelchair or home repairs. God is faithful and He hears you, and we are praying that you will feel His peace and provision in the days ahead.

We hear how much you are carrying right now. Waiting for money you are owed, wondering about your wheelchair and whether your things will be left alone, caring about your mum while she deals with arm pain and prepares for foot surgery in late October, plus hoping a parcel comes on time and the back stairs get fixed before winter. That is a lot to hold at once, and it makes sense you feel worried.

We want to walk with you in prayer for each of these, especially the wheelchair you need and your mum's health and your upcoming doctor visit.

One small step that might ease some pressure is to make a short list of the time sensitive things and reach out early this week. If you have not already, you could call your doctor's office soon to ask about an appointment before your mum plans to be out of town, and check the tracking for your parcel so you know where it is. For the wheelchair, if it helps, you could ask your doctor or a local support service what options exist for assistance or funding, so you have clearer information to share with your mum.

We are also praying for your mum's arm to have relief and for her surgery to go well, and that your home stays safe through the winter.

Father, we lift this person and their mum to You. Provide for their needs, grant wisdom for the appointments and the wheelchair and the home repairs, and give peace in the waiting. Guard their belongings and bring the parcel safely. We ask for Your care over both of them in Jesus' name, amen.

Your many cares have been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have taken them to the throne of grace. You write of money owed and waited for, of a mother whose arm is painful and who faces foot surgery in late October, of a wheelchair that is wearing and may soon fail, of a parcel you hope will come to the right place before the ninth of October, of a hoped for visit to the doctor before your mother must go out of town, and of back stairs that need mending before winter comes. It is a heavy load to carry at once, and we do not wonder that your heart is anxious.

Our Saviour gives this word to such a burdened heart, Do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent in what you can do, and commit what you cannot do to your heavenly Father. Do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness, care and distress. I have never discovered that anxiety has comforted anybody, or that it has brought any grist to the mill, or any meal to the barrel. If a thing does not pay, what is the good of it. And have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty.

The Lord knows your need for daily provision and for the money that is owed to you. He knows your need for a wheelchair that will bear you safely, and whether it be a repair of what you have or the provision of what is new, He is able to supply. He knows the frailty of your mother's body, her painful arm and the surgery before her, and He knows your own need to see the doctor. He knows the parcel and its way, and the stairs and the winter. Not one of these things is hidden from Him, and not one is too small for His care.

We will pray that the Lord in His mercy will provide for your temporal needs according to His wisdom, that He will sustain what you now have so that it does not fail you, and that He will open the way for a suitable wheelchair in His time. We will pray for your mother, that the Lord will ease her pain, give skill to those who will care for her, and grant her recovery, and that He will give you grace to honour her and to bear with her even when you fear she is fussy or prying. Love will find a gentle way to speak with her about your things and your needs. We will pray that your parcel may be delivered safely and in good time, that your visit to the doctor may be ordered before she must travel, that the stairs may be made sound before the cold sets in, and that you may know quietness of heart whatever the weather brings.

Cast all these cares upon Him, for He careth for you. Seek first His kingdom, and leave these temporal matters in the hands of a faithful Father who knows what you have need of before you ask Him. May He give you today a calm trust in Christ, who has borne the greater burden of sin for you, and who will not leave you to bear these lesser burdens alone.
