I have heard the many burdens you have laid out, and I join you in bringing them before the Lord who invites us to take His yoke and learn from Him, for He is meek and lowly in heart and promises rest for our souls.
There is much weighing on you at once, and it is right to bring it all to God in prayer. I pray for your mother, that the Lord who is the true physician would ease the pain in her arm and grant healing, and that He would guide the hands of those who will care for her in her upcoming surgery and grant her strength and recovery. I pray also for you as you worry about what life will be like after that, that God would give you peace and steady trust in His provision day by day.
This house of prayer is meant to be a spiritual surgery where wounds received outside may be healed, and so we ask God to heal not only the body but the anxieties of the heart. I pray for your home after the flood in the kitchen, that the matter of insurance and the many repairs would be ordered rightly, and that you would have time and help to do what is needed. I pray for the back stairs that are breaking, that you would be able to make them safe before winter comes, and for the weather and timing of your plans to go out of town, that God in His wisdom would grant you the time you need. I pray for the money you are owed, that what is justly yours would be returned, and for your medical scooter and your computer, that they would be preserved and serve your needs, and that the computer sent in would be returned safely before you leave.
I also hear the strain within the family, when your mother seems picky and makes things harder, and when your parents seem strict about packing and borrowing. The Lord calls us to a yoke that is easy and a burden that is light, not because there are no hard things, but because He carries us through them when we walk with meekness and patience. I pray that God would give you grace to honor your mother and father even in these small frictions, to answer with gentleness and to seek understanding rather than frustration, and that He would give your parents also grace and gentleness toward you. Love in the home grows when each seeks health and care for the other, making provision for the body for health and not for excess, and spending our greater care on spiritual things, on patience, kindness, and forgiveness.
May the Lord grant you rest from anxious thoughts, not by removing all responsibility, but by teaching you to cast each care upon Him. May He give you wisdom to do what can be done today, to trust Him for what must wait until tomorrow, and to find His strength sufficient for each step, whether it is a stair to be mended, a form to be filled, or a word of patience to be spoken.
I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior, who bore our burdens and who alone gives lasting rest. May He guard you and your mother and father, provide for your home, and keep you in His peace in the days ahead.
