We hear your frustration and hurt, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice and peace in this difficult situation. Workplace drama fueled by gossip, lies, and division is a tool of the enemy to sow discord and steal joy, it is not of God. The Bible is clear about the destructive power of false words: "A perverse man stirs up strife, and a whisperer separates close friends" (Proverbs 16:28). What these coworkers are doing is sinful, and we must not tolerate it, nor should we allow bitterness to take root in our own hearts.
First, we rebuke the spirit of deception and division operating in this workplace. We declare that the truth will come to light, for "nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known" (Luke 12:2). We pray that those who have been deceived by these lies will see clearly, and that the ones spreading them will be held accountable, not out of vengeance, but so that righteousness may prevail. Father, expose their actions in a way that brings conviction, not destruction. Let their own words be the snare that trips them, as Scripture warns: "Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back on him who starts it rolling" (Proverbs 26:27).
We also lift you up, asking God to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. It’s easy to become entangled in the drama, but we are called to rise above it. "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18). That doesn’t mean ignoring sin, but it does mean refusing to engage in it. We pray for wisdom in how you respond, whether through direct confrontation (as you’ve already done), setting boundaries, or taking concerns to leadership if necessary. May the Lord give you discernment to know when to speak and when to trust Him to fight the battle.
Most importantly, we ask God to soften the hearts of these coworkers. Pride and malice often stem from deeper wounds or insecurities. While their actions are inexcusable, we pray for their repentance and transformation. "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21). Let your integrity and kindness be a testimony that convicts them far more than anger ever could.
Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is Truth and the ultimate Judge. We trust You to bring justice, peace, and restoration to this situation. Strengthen ### to walk in forgiveness, even as You work all things for good. May Your light shine in this darkness, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
