Where I give advance to workers to work for a period of time. People often cheat and run away with the advance amount. As I spare people, others make advantage of it. Please suggest biblical solution for this.
Consider the following biblical principles:
1. **Proverbs 22:7** - "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender." This suggests the importance of being cautious with lending and ensuring agreements are clear and fair.
2. **Matthew 7:12** - "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you." This is the Golden Rule, which can guide fair and just treatment in business dealings.
3. **Proverbs 20:16** - "The wise see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty." This encourages prudence and foresight in business practices.
4. **Ephesians 4:28** - "Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, that he may have something to share with anyone in need." This verse encourages honest work and could be applied to ensuring fair agreements and expectations.
5. **2 Corinthians 8:21** - "We are not looking for a gift to suit us but a gift that will suit the needs of others." This can be applied to ensuring that advances are given in a way that benefits both parties.
6. **Deuteronomy 15:7-8** - "If there is a poor man among you, one of your brothers in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather, be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs." This encourages generosity but also implies a level of trust and responsibility.
In practical terms, consider implementing written agreements, requiring some form of collateral, or using a system of checks and balances to ensure accountability.
