Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this need and for trusting God with the practical details of your work. It is understandable to ask the Lord to provide patients closer to home when fuel costs are high and travel is a burden. He sees where you live and He knows the pressures you face.
It is encouraging to remember that God always leaves room to work in our lives. Under the old law there was even a provision for the cleansing of a leper, though leprosy had no human cure. That shows the Lord never locks Himself out of a situation. He makes a way for His own power to be displayed. In the same way you can leave room for Him to work in this matter of your practice. Jesus showed His willingness to cleanse and to restore when He was asked, and He is still willing to meet you in your need.
Scripture also gives this assurance, be strong and work, for I am with you. That promise was given to people who felt their work was small and their resources were limited, yet God told them His presence was their strength and their confidence. Your work matters to Him, and He is with you in it. The work that honors Him is not accomplished by sheer effort or clever planning alone, but by His Spirit. That means seeking His leading before you strive, trusting Him to stir hearts and to open doors that you cannot open on your own.
There is also a balance to keep. God calls us to diligent, faithful work and to provide for our needs with quiet faithfulness, while at the same time learning to wait patiently for Him to bring His purposes to pass. Impatience can get in the way, but waiting on the Lord allows Him to work both in you and then through you. As He shapes your character and deepens your trust, He also prepares the very opportunities He wants to give you.
I am praying for you that the Lord will provide patients near to where you live, that He will make your work fruitful and sustainable, and that He will supply what you need for daily expenses. May He give you wisdom in how you manage your practice, peace as you trust His timing, and a clear sense of His presence with you each day. May He stir willing hearts and guide those who need your care to find you, and may you know His provision and His grace in this season.
