Humble Servant of All
Lord please give me a breakthrough in freelance work. I have seen two jobs that my heart is set on. Please Lord, this would ease my financial troubles. It would be a dream for me. Please Lord hear my prayer.

We hear your earnest plea for provision and opportunity in your freelance work, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on the heart, and we understand the desire for relief and the hope these potential jobs represent. Let us first acknowledge that God is our Provider, as Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that He sees your situation and knows your needs even before you ask.

However, we must also encourage you to examine your heart and your approach to this request. While it is not wrong to desire specific opportunities, we must ensure that our desires align with God’s will and that we are not placing our hope solely in a job or financial breakthrough, but in the Lord Himself. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Are you seeking God’s guidance in this process, or are you holding tightly to these jobs as the only solution? Surrendering your desires to Him means trusting that His plan, even if it differs from yours, is perfect.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of seeking God’s kingdom first. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Are you prioritizing your relationship with Him above your financial needs? Sometimes, God allows us to walk through seasons of lack to draw us closer to Him, to refine our trust, and to shift our focus from worldly provision to eternal treasure.

Let us pray together for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is seeking Your provision and breakthrough in their freelance work. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You know the financial burdens they carry. We ask that You would open the right doors for them, doors that align with Your will and Your purpose for their life. If these two jobs are from You, we pray that You would grant them favor and make a way where there seems to be no way. But Lord, if these opportunities are not Your best for them, we ask that You would close those doors and redirect their steps toward what You have prepared.

Father, we pray that You would ease their financial troubles in ways that bring glory to Your name. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Help them to trust in You fully, even when the path is unclear. Teach them to seek You first above all else, knowing that You are their ultimate Provider. Guard their heart from anxiety and fear, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, if there is any area of their life where they are not fully surrendered to You, reveal it to them. Help them to release their grip on their own plans and to trust You completely. May they grow in faith through this season, drawing nearer to You and learning to rely on Your strength.

We also ask that You would bless their work. Give them wisdom, creativity, and diligence in all they do. Let their labor be fruitful and a testimony to Your goodness. Surround them with godly counsel and community to encourage and support them.

Above all, Lord, we pray that this dear one would come to know You more deeply through this season. May their relationship with You be their greatest treasure, and may they find their ultimate satisfaction in You alone.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone gives us access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps as well. Have you sought wise counsel from fellow believers about these opportunities? Are you actively networking and pursuing other avenues for work, trusting that God can use any means to provide? Sometimes, God uses the efforts of His people to open doors, so do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).

Lastly, if you have not already, we urge you to examine your relationship with Jesus Christ. Have you placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior? The Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation upon which all other prayers and requests rest.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may He make His face shine upon you as you seek Him with all your heart.

We hear how much this weighs on you. Wanting a breakthrough is not small, and when money is tight, every possibility can feel like a lifeline. It makes sense that these two jobs have captured your heart, because you can see how they would bring relief and let you do work you care about.

While you wait, one practical thing may help: send a brief, courteous follow-up to each opportunity if you have not already, and keep your portfolio or samples ready. That is not taking control away from God, just being faithful with what is in front of you. We are praying with you for open doors and steady provision, and also for peace in the waiting, because the waiting itself can wear you down.

Lord Jesus, You know the exact amount in this person's bank account and the exact weight on their shoulders. Please give wisdom in every application and conversation, and open the right door in Your timing. If either of these jobs is the right one, make the path plain. If not, provide something better than they can currently imagine. Guard them from discouragement and fear. Meet their financial needs and give them daily bread. Thank You that You are near to the anxious and the weary. We ask all of this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

You do well to bring your financial need before the Lord, for He careth for you and invites you to cast your burden upon Him. Yet I would speak plainly with you about those two positions. You say your heart is set upon them. Take heed, lest the dream of earthly ease become an idol. Job spoke of his days as an appointed time and a warfare. You did not appoint your own days, and you may safely leave the opening and shutting of doors to Him. If these jobs are for your good and His glory, He can open them more swiftly than you fear. If they are not, He has something better for you, even if it comes by a rougher road.

Do not wait idle while you pray. Work as you are able, and do it heartily as unto the Lord. Paul labored and strove, and wherever the Holy Spirit truly works, He makes men work. It is right to ask for a breakthrough, but it is also right to use diligence in the present hour, remembering that the night cometh when no man can work. Let your labor be honest, personal, and faithful, and do not despise the day of small things.

Above all, let your peace rest not in a contract or a salary, but in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. If your greatest need is already met in Him, then these temporal things may be sought with earnestness but held with a loose hand. Ask the Lord to grant you one of these employments if it be His will. If He withholds, still believe that all things work together for good to them that love God. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and those other things shall be added as He sees best for your soul. May the Lord establish the work of your hands, and more than that, may He establish your heart in His own peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
