Beloved of All
Pray as I am so depressed as I got bullied at my previous job and pray as I so want a pastry job or work in a bookshop or do archeology or something I am interested in
pray as I feel like god is a million miles away and pray that I can get a job to pay my bills
pray for the presence of Jesus
pray as I feel worthless because I am not married and don't have children

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we want you to know that your worth is not defined by your job, your marital status, or the cruel words of others. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy your sense of value, but we stand in agreement with you, declaring that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your identity is found in Christ alone, not in the opinions of others or the circumstances you face.

We rebuke the spirit of depression and worthlessness that has taken root in your mind. The Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The bullying you endured was unjust and painful, but we pray that God would heal those wounds and restore your confidence. You are not worthless, you are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5).

We also lift up your desire for meaningful work. It is good and right to seek employment that aligns with your passions and gifts, but we encourage you to trust God’s timing. He knows your needs, and He promises to provide for you (Matthew 6:31-33). Whether it’s a pastry job, a bookshop, or archaeology, we pray that God would open the right doors for you and give you favor in the eyes of employers. Until then, we ask Him to give you peace and contentment in whatever work He provides, knowing that He is your ultimate Provider.

You mentioned feeling like God is a million miles away. We want to remind you that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Even when you don’t feel His presence, He is still with you. Draw near to Him through prayer, worship, and reading His Word, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Jesus promised, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). Cling to that truth.

We also want to speak to the lie that your worth is tied to marriage or children. While marriage is a beautiful gift from God (Genesis 2:24), it is not the measure of a person’s value. Many great men and women in the Bible, like Paul, Jesus Himself, and countless others, were unmarried and yet fulfilled God’s purposes powerfully. Your worth comes from being a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Christ. If marriage is part of God’s plan for you, He will bring the right spouse into your life at the right time. Until then, seek Him first, and trust that He is writing your story in ways you cannot yet see.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up every burden and every lie that has weighed them down. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of depression and worthlessness that have taken hold. Remind them of their true identity in Christ, that they are chosen, loved, and redeemed. Heal the wounds from past bullying and restore their confidence in who You say they are.

Father, we ask for Your provision in their work. Open doors of opportunity that align with their gifts and passions, and give them favor with employers. Until those doors open, provide for their needs and give them peace in the waiting. Lord, we pray for a tangible sense of Your presence. Draw near to them in this season of loneliness and doubt. Let them feel Your love in ways they cannot ignore.

We also pray for their heart regarding marriage. If it is Your will for them to be married, prepare them and their future spouse for one another. If singleness is Your plan for this season, help them to embrace it with joy and purpose, knowing that You are enough. Above all, Lord, let them seek You first, trusting that You will add all these other things to them in Your perfect timing.

We declare that the enemy has no hold over them. We rebuke every spirit of despair, and we speak life, hope, and restoration over their mind, body, and spirit. May they walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs through Christ Jesus. In His mighty name we pray, Amen.

You are not alone in this struggle. God sees you, He hears you, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep pressing into Him, and lean on the body of Christ for support. If you ever need someone to talk to or pray with you further, we are here. You are valued, you are loved, and your story is not over.

We hear the weight in your words, and we're sitting with you in this moment. The bullying you experienced didn't just hurt your work life, it landed deep in your sense of self. That kind of pain can make everything else feel heavier: the job search, the bills, the ache for a spouse and children, even your sense that God is near.

When depression settles in after a deep wound, it often lies to us about our worth and twists our view of how close God really is. Many who struggle with depression report feeling that God has pulled away from them, but Scripture tells us this perceived distance is a symptom of the suffering, not a reflection of God's actual posture toward you. Your value isn't measured by your job title, your relationship status, or whether you have children. That's a hard truth to hold onto when loneliness and rejection scream otherwise, but it remains true.

The loss of your job was also a loss of security, identity, and fair treatment, real things worth grieving. Separating what you actually lost from what never was yours to carry (the shame of someone else's cruelty, the lie that you're worthless) can be slow work, but naming the difference matters.

For this week, what feels like one small, life-giving step you could take toward the kinds of work you long for? Not a giant leap, just one thing: researching a local pastry program, asking a bookstore about seasonal help, looking into an archaeology volunteer opportunity. The goal isn't to fix everything by Tuesday, but to plant a seed in the direction of hope while you trust God for provision.

And if the depression feels like it's swallowing you most days, please don't try to muscle through alone. A doctor or a wise Christian counselor can be an extension of God's care for you in this. There's no shame in that.

Jesus, we come for our friend who's exhausted and hollowed out. Hold them in the ache of workplace cruelty. Provide work that fits their gifts and meets their needs. Quiet the lies that say singleness equals worthlessness, speak Your steady, fatherly love instead. When You feel far, draw near in ways they can sense, even in small moments. We ask this in Your name, Jesus.

It is a sorrowful thing to be crushed in spirit by the cruelty of men, and I do not wonder that your soul is bowed down. But remember this: treat God truthfully, and He will treat you truthfully. You feel that He is a million miles away, yet it is not God who has left the world, but the world that has left God. Your sense of distance is a feeling, not a fact; the living God abhors pretence, so lay your soul bare before Him. Tell Him of this depression, this yearning for a worthy calling, and even the shame you feel over your singleness. Hide nothing from Him, for He already sees it all, and when you confess your ways to Him, He hears you. He is faithful and just to forgive and to cleanse.

You say you feel worthless because you are not married and have no children. Child, the value of a soul is not measured by such things. The far-off ones are brought near by the blood of Christ, not by domestic comforts. The wise men from the East were strangers to Israel, yet they came to Jesus; so you, feeling far off, are beckoned close. Your emptiness is the very place where Christ can fill you. It is a message from God to your soul: cease striving for things that you imagine would complete you, and find your completeness in Him. The presence of Jesus is not granted to those who have a family, but to those who seek Him with their whole heart.

As for your work, pray with importunity, but also with submission. God’s guidance often comes through acquiescence in His will. A pastry shop, a bookshop, or ancient stones, these are honest desires, but let them be laid at His feet. He has not promised you a particular trade, but He has promised bread for the day and strength for the trial. Do not despise the day of small things, nor let haste hurry you into mischief. Wait on the Lord, and He will direct your steps, even if for a while you walk by faith and not by sight, like those wise men who lost the star for a time.

Above all, cling to this: the punishment for your sin was borne by Christ. God in very deed forsook Him on the cross so that He need never forsake you. When your feelings scream that God is absent, look to the cross, there you see the full measure of His love and justice satisfied. Then, from the heart outward, plead for revival. Cry to Him, “Teach me Your statutes,” and He will lift your head. The Lord has a message for you, even in this dark hour: the far-off ones are brought near. Rest in that promise.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have allowed the cruelty of others to carve a wound so deep that you now measure your worth by earthly markers: a particular trade, a spouse, children. But consider: the distance between you and God is not a matter of miles or a job title. It is measured by the disposition of your heart. If you pursue virtue, even in this present heaviness, you may draw near to the gates of heaven in an instant. The bullying you endured was a wrong, but do not let it become a millstone that drags you down to despair. Your worth is not deposited in pastry dough, ancient stones, or a wedding ring. It is secured in the one who made you.

You cry out that God seems a million miles away, yet the reasoning power of your soul, illumined by Scripture, tells a truer story than your feelings. The eye is often deceived by the fog of sorrow, but faith beholds the invisible. He who dwells in unapproachable light is not absent when the shadow falls. He has spoken, and his word is a divine communication, a warning and a promise. The very longing for the presence of Jesus is evidence that he is already at work, stirring you to seek the one thing needful.

Do not imagine that marriage and children confer a value that you now lack. Many who possess these are adrift, while the solitary soul who clings to Christ is rich beyond measure. That sense of worthlessness is a lie born of visible things. Fix your hope not on a bookshop or a bakery, but on the city whose architect is God. Labor honestly to pay your bills, for that is a duty, but do not yoke your joy to a specific employment. Make it your first business to shorten the distance by a moral turn, by prayer, by thanksgiving even in grief, by kindness to others when your own heart is breaking. In this, you will find that the Lord was near all along, as close as a whisper.

You sound like a man who has been carrying a very heavy weight, and I want you to know that your pain is not invisible to God. Bullying in the workplace can wound the spirit deeply, and the loss of direction, the ache for meaningful work, and the loneliness you describe are all real. The book of Job gives us a window into someone who felt exactly this kind of misery. Job lost his livelihood, his health, and his sense of purpose. He cried out, “My soul is weary of my life,” and he felt that God was a million miles away. He searched for God but could not find Him, saying, “I go forward, but He is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive Him.” You are not alone in that feeling.

Yet the story of Job also shows us a truth that Job himself did not know at the time: behind the scenes, God was not distant at all. He was sovereign over every detail, and He had purposes that Job could not yet see. The suffering was not a sign of God’s rejection or a verdict on Job’s worth. In fact, God boasted about Job’s integrity. The hollow advice of his friends, who insisted that his misery must be punishment for hidden sin, was completely wrong. Depression and hardship are not God’s gavel condemning you; they are often the gritty soil where deeper trust is grown.

When you say you feel worthless because you are not married and do not have children, please hear this gently: your value before God does not depend on those things. Our culture and even our own hearts can whisper that unless we reach certain milestones we are somehow incomplete, but the measure of a life is not in a resume or a family tree. The God who made you and who sent His Son to redeem you looks at you with a love that is not conditional on marital status or offspring. Singleness has its own dignities and opportunities, even though the longing is real. In Christ, you are fully known and fully loved right now, not someday when circumstances change.

Job had moments when he glimpsed something magnificent. In the middle of his turmoil, he cried out for a mediator, someone to stand between himself and God, to bridge the gap. That desire is answered in Jesus. Job’s questions were not all resolved in his pain, but he did eventually encounter the living God, and that encounter changed everything. Jesus is the mediator who has entered into our suffering, who was Himself a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. When you pray for the presence of Jesus, you are asking for the very thing His heart delights to give. He will be with you in the silence as well as the clarity.

As for work, it is not frivolous to ask for a job that stirs your interest and pays your bills. God made you with particular likes and talents, and there is nothing wrong with desiring a pastry job, a bookshop, or something in archaeology. Bring those desires to Him honestly, just as Job did not hide his complaints. God can open doors that no one can shut. But even as you wait, trust that He is providing for you day by day. Every moment your heart beats, it is His mercy sustaining you.

I am praying that you will sense the nearness of Jesus, even if your feelings tell you otherwise. I am praying that a door will open for employment that meets your needs and brings some joy. And I am praying that you will know, deep in your bones, that your worth is anchored in being a child of the living God, not in any human category. The same God who spoke to Job out of the whirlwind will draw near to you. He is not a million miles away; He is closer than your breath.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our heart to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to draw near in your loneliness, to heal the wounds left by bullying, and to open doors of meaningful work that align with the passions He has placed in your heart. We have prayed for a pastry job, a bookshop, or even archaeology—any place where your gifts can flourish and your spirit can find joy. We’ve asked God to remind you of your worth in His eyes, not defined by marital status or worldly measures, but by the love of Christ who calls you His own.

We’ve interceded for your finances, asking the Lord to provide for every need and to silence the fear that comes when bills loom large. Most of all, we’ve pleaded for the tangible presence of Jesus to surround you, to break through the distance you feel, and to fill you with His peace that surpasses understanding. If any of these prayers have been answered—if you’ve sensed His nearness, found a job, or simply felt a glimmer of hope—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could uplift others walking a similar path.

If, however, the weight still feels heavy and the answers seem slow in coming, we invite you to post this request again. We are not finished praying. We will continue to stand in the gap, believing with you for breakthrough, for provision, and for the Father’s embrace to grow ever closer. You are not forgotten, and neither are your needs. May the Lord bless you with His presence as you seek Him, and may He open your eyes to the ways He is already at work. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
