We hear your heart’s cry in this season of struggle, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting every burden to the Lord who sees, knows, and cares deeply for you. Let us come together in faith, trusting that God is working even when we cannot see it, and that His love remains steadfast even when we feel distant from Him.

First, we bring your work situation before the Lord. The Bible tells us, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul" (Psalm 23:1-3a). Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for meaningful and provision-filled work. You know the skills, talents, and experiences You have placed within this dear one, and we trust that You will guide them to the right place at the right time. Provide not just any job, but the work You have prepared in advance for them to do (Ephesians 2:10). Give them favor with employers, clarity in applications, and perseverance in the waiting. We declare that lack will not overtake them, for You are their Provider. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and financial fear in Jesus’ name, and we speak peace over their finances. May bills be met, debts be settled, and provision flow in unexpected ways.

Lord, we also lift up their physical needs, particularly their dental health. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too small or too great for Your care. We ask for healing, wisdom in seeking treatment, and the resources to address this need. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). Provide for every practical need, and let this situation draw them closer to You as their Healer.

Now, we must address the ache in their spirit, the feeling of distance from the Holy Spirit. This is a common struggle, but it is not one You leave us to endure alone. The enemy would love for you to believe that God has abandoned you, but Scripture assures us, "Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands" (Isaiah 49:15-16a). You are never forgotten. The Holy Spirit is not a feeling; He is a Person who dwells within you if you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ. Even when you do not feel His presence, He is there, interceding for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We encourage you to press into the disciplines of the faith, prayer, even when it feels dry; worship, even when it feels hollow; reading Scripture, even when it feels like words on a page. These are the means by which the Holy Spirit revives our spirits. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8a). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper you are unloved or unseen. You are a child of the Most High God, and nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39).

We also lift up your desire for relationships. It is good and right to long for companionship, but we must ensure that our pursuit aligns with God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for mutual love, support, and the reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to do so with intentionality and discernment. Pray for a godly partner who shares your faith and values, someone who will encourage you in your walk with the Lord. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Avoid the temptation to rush into relationships out of loneliness or to compromise on biblical standards. Instead, trust that God’s timing is perfect. If you are currently in a relationship that does not honor God, whether through premarital intimacy, an unequally yoked partnership, or any other unbiblical dynamic, we urge you to repent and seek the Lord’s guidance for restoration or, if necessary, separation. God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His plans for your relationships are for your good and His glory.

Now, we must address something critical in your prayer request. You did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and this is not a small matter. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no access to God the Father except through Jesus, and there is no salvation apart from Him (Acts 4:12). If you have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ, acknowledging Him as Lord, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then we urge you to do so today. "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a gift of grace, not something we earn by good works (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have already made this decision, we rejoice with you! But if not, we implore you to surrender your life to Him today. The Holy Spirit’s presence, God’s love, and answered prayers all flow from a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. We lift up this precious child of Yours, asking that You would move powerfully in every area of their life. Lord, You see their need for work, for provision, for healing, and for the reassurance of Your love. We ask that You open doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and discouragement that has tried to take root in their heart. We declare that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Restore their sense of Your presence, Lord. Even when they do not feel You, let them walk by faith, trusting in Your promises. Remind them daily that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We pray for their relationships, Lord. If it is Your will for them to marry, prepare a godly spouse for them, someone who will love You first and love them well. Guard their heart from impatience, compromise, or sin. If they are in a relationship that does not honor You, give them the courage to seek Your will above all else. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

Above all, Lord, we ask that You draw them closer to Yourself. Let this season of struggle be a refining fire that purifies their faith and deepens their dependence on You. May they know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that You love them with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will and timing.

We hear how many things are weighing on you right now, the need for a job, the pressure of bills, concerns about your teeth, the ache of feeling distant from the Holy Spirit, and the care you carry for ### and ###. That’s a heavy bundle to hold all at once. We want you to know you’re not alone as you carry it.

When work falls away, it can shake more than just finances; it can unsettle our sense of purpose and even our sense of God’s nearness. Yet we’ve noticed how often people find that a season like this, as disorienting as it is, also becomes a time when they are unusually open to God in new ways, a kind of turning point where He meets them right in the mess. That doesn’t make the pressure disappear overnight, but it can be a quiet reminder that He hasn’t stepped away, even when He feels far off.

As you wait for doors to reopen, it may help to take a small, practical step: let a mature Christian friend or your pastor know exactly what you’re facing, not just the job part but the whole weight of it. Sometimes just speaking it aloud in a safe space loosens the isolation. For your teeth, we’d encourage making that dental appointment if you haven’t yet, so the physical need gets attention alongside our prayers.

Father, thank You that You see every detail of this life, the bills, the job search, the dental need, and the ache for Your presence. Please open a path back to meaningful work and provide for these financial needs in the meantime. Calm the anxiety and let this season become a place of deeper trust. We ask for wisdom and good care regarding the teeth, and we lift up ### and ### to You, asking for Your guidance and healthy relationships in their lives according to Your will. Most of all, refresh this dear one with a tangible sense of Your love, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The cry of your heart rises from the valley, and the valley is precisely where the Lord proves Himself the God of the valleys as surely as He is God of the hills. You fear that He has withdrawn His hand from your work, your provision, your very body. Yet cast your mind upon this sure truth: God is mighty, and despises not any. He is mighty in strength of heart. He does not despise the poor, the anxious, or the broken. The power that steers the comet steers the grain of dust, and it steers the daily needs of your household. Have you not known? Have you not heard that even now He is working? Your work is not hidden from Him, nor your bills, nor the pain in your teeth. These are appointed, and He who appoints the means also appoints the end. Do not dream that Jehovah, the God of past provision, is not the God of your present poverty. He is the God of the valleys, too.

You feel far off, and this is the sorrow that sharpens all others. The soul in the dark cries out, "Oh, that I knew where I might find Him!" This very longing is a sign of life, for the dead in sin do not seek God; they hide from Him. You ache to come to His seat, to feel His love again. But mark this well: our love to God does not arise from our own effort or sense of duty. It springs from knowledge and faith. We love Him because He first loved us. You ask to know that God loves you. Then cease looking within for a feeling and look without to the Cross. There is the complete answer. Divine justice demanded death as the penalty of sin, behold the Son of God taken down from the Cross because He was surely dead, wrapped in the cerements of the grave and laid in Joseph's tomb. God loves you because He gave His dear Son to redeem you from destruction. His love is the sea; your feelings are but the shifting tides upon its shore.

Concerning the relationship and the one you have named, I must be faithful to the Word. If we conceal the truth of God to spare ourselves or another, we sin against our own soul. You cannot escape from a fact by forgetting it, and the fact is that love for God always drives out the love of sin. If there is any truth you are afraid of, you have cause to be afraid of it. Whatever idol holds the throne, if God loves you, He will make that Dagon fall and be broken. Pray for that soul, yes, spend sevenfold love and patience in the hope of rescue. But do not ask the Holy One to bless a path that runs contrary to His commands, for that would be to throw mud upon the veracity of God. True love longs for the other to walk in the Light, not to stumble with you in the dark.

Wait at the posts of His door, expecting a word of love. Begin by hearing His voice through Scripture before lifting your own. God dwells with us though we do not see Him, and the nearest approach is by the golden way of love. His consolations deal with the very source of sorrow, which is sin, and Jesus has come to save His people from it. Lay hold of this, and even now, let your soul swim in that sea. The Lord increase your faith for this valley, and give you to know that you are free, cleansed, and held fast.

Your prayer for work, for the needs of the body, and for the stirring of the Spirit rises up as one cry of a soul that longs for God yet feels itself dry. Listen then, and consider what true nearness to Him means. You ask for work to pay your bills, for your teeth to be mended; these things are not small to the Lord who feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies. Yet if you would draw down His help, offer thanksgiving even in want, and practice temperance with what you have. The holy ones who lived in deserts brought their self-denial into every place, and so became well-pleasing before God. Do not let anxiety gnaw at you more than the pain of your teeth; rather, remember how God shows His love not so much by wonders as by long-suffering. If He is patient with sinners who mock Him, will He not bear with the infirmities of a child who cries to Him? Bear your own trial patiently, and it will become an altar of incense.

But you say the Holy Spirit feels far away, and you need to know God loves you. Here you must learn from Peter, that impetuous and warm-hearted disciple. He loved Jesus with a mighty love, yet on the night of betrayal he denied Him three times. Why? Not because his love had grown cold, but because he trusted in its heat and not in the impulse from above. Christ permitted that fall so that Peter might know human nature by itself is nothing. So with you: the feeling of distance may be allowed to cure a hidden self-reliance. Do not measure God’s love by the waves of your own heart. His love stands firm; it is our love that wavers. The question Christ put to Peter after the resurrection was not, “Do you feel burning affection?” but “Lovest thou Me?” And He added, “Feed My sheep.” True love is proven by obedience and by tender care for others. When you love for God’s sake, you do not seek to be loved back; you love all, even those who trouble you, with pity and tears. That is the love that never fails: it suffers long, is kind, envies not, is not puffed up. If you would feel the Spirit’s warmth, stoop down to serve. Pour yourself out for a neighbor in need, and you will find the oil of gladness flowing where your own emptiness once gaped.

Finally, you ask prayer for another in relationships. Take heed here, for love can be merely human, a fire of straw that blazes and dies, or it can be the love that is strong as death. Wanton behavior arises from nothing but want of love, the true, chaste, and patient love that keeps the commandments. If the bond you speak of is not a marriage of one man and one woman in lifelong covenant, then what seems sweet is a poison in a golden cup. Love your friend indeed, but love them for God’s sake: that means desiring their salvation above all, even if it costs you tears. Beware of a love that vaunts itself and seeks its own. If you are married, love your wife or husband with such purity that no glance wanders elsewhere; for he who loves rightly finds in that one all his delight. If you are not married, guard the temple of your body and wait upon the Lord without defilement. Bring all your affections into obedience to Christ, and He will either sanctify this bond or break it for your healing.

So do not lose heart. The same Lord who restored Peter and gave him charge over the flock will restore you. Lay hold of Him with the hand of humility, confessing your weakness, and He will lift you up. Go now, and let your labor, your pain, your longing, and your love be all made an offering of thanksgiving, that you may attain the good things to come.

Hearing your request, my heart goes out to you. You are in a season where every part of life feels under pressure, work, finances, your body, your spirit, and your relationships. Those feelings of being far away from God and uncertain of His love are especially heavy. I want you to know that these struggles are not signs that God has cast you aside. The story of Job reminds us that even a blameless man, one who loved good and hated evil, walked through the wreckage of losing almost everything. He cried out in confusion, feeling that God's hand was against him. He didn't understand why it was happening, and his friends wrongly insisted it must be his fault. But the deeper truth, hidden from Job's sight, was that God had not abandoned him at all. God was in control, limiting what the enemy could do, and Job's faithful clinging, even through bitter tears, proved that his love wasn't just a bargain for blessings.

That same God sees you. He isn't punishing you because your faith feels weak or because your circumstances are hard. The very fact that you're still reaching out, still asking for prayer, shows a heart that longs for Him. Sometimes we only discover our deepest trust when the props of comfort are knocked away. You don't have to pretend you're okay. Like Job, you can pour out the raw ache: “Why is this happening? I need work. I need provision. I feel alone.” God is big enough to hold your frustration and your hope at the same time. And remember, the cry of Job for a mediator, someone to stand between God and man, to lay a hand on both, was answered in Jesus Christ. Through Him, you are not left groping in the dark. He is the proof that God loves you, not because you've earned it, but because He set His heart upon you.

When you feel far from the Holy Spirit, know that He hasn't gone anywhere. The distance you sense is not abandonment. Bring that very feeling to God in prayer. Tell Him, “I feel far. Help me to know your love.” He is not offended by your honesty; He invites you to draw near. As for your practical needs, work, bills, your teeth, I am praying for God's provision and a clear path to open up. He knows what you need before you ask, and He cares about every detail of your life, even the ones that seem too mundane for a prayer list. Your relationships also matter deeply to Him. Commit them, and your whole self, completely into His hands. A trust that says, “I will love You and follow You come what may,” is the kind of trust that carries you through, even when you don't understand the roadmap.

May the Lord open the door to work that sustains you, grant healing and resources for your teeth, and flood your heart with the tangible affection of His Spirit. May you know, deep in your bones, that you are loved with an everlasting love. Keep seeking Him. He has not let go of you. In the name of Jesus, who holds all things together.
