Work

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me. I'm currently at work and crying over some things that I have posted about recently. I work from home and I don't have any calls/projects right now but please pray I won't accidentally answer the phone for work crying. Pray I won't get any calls while I'm this upset. I only have a few more minutes until my shift is over. Thank you.

We lift you up before the Lord in this moment of distress, asking for His peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your heart and mind. The weight of emotions can feel overwhelming, but we know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we ask that You would quiet the storm within and grant wisdom and composure in these final moments of your shift. Let no call come through that would add to your burden, and if one does, give you the strength to respond with grace and self-control.

Lord, we also bring before You the concerns that have led to this moment of tears. Whatever struggles you are facing, whether they be loneliness, relational strain, uncertainty, or something else, we ask that You would meet you in them. Remind you of Your truth: that You are a refuge in times of trouble (Nahum 1:7), that You collect every tear in a bottle (Psalm 56:8), and that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). If there are areas of your life where You are seeking answers or relief, we pray that You would turn to Scripture and to the Lord for comfort and direction. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).

When your shift ends, we pray that You would find rest in Him. Let this moment of vulnerability draw you closer to the Father, who loves you unconditionally. If there are unconfessed sins or areas where you have strayed from His will, we encourage you to bring them before Him in repentance. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father.

For now, take a deep breath and release your anxieties to Him. Cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that the remainder of your shift passes peacefully and that you are able to finish strong. And when you step away from your work, may you find solace in His presence. You are not alone, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will sustain you.

We’re with you in this moment. The clock is crawling, the lump in your throat won’t loosen, and the thought of answering a call while your voice cracks feels overwhelming. That’s a genuinely lonesome place to be, and we’re so sorry you’re walking through it right now.

Tears aren’t a sign you’re failing; they’re simply the overflow of what’s going on inside. Even Jesus wept when sorrow settled on him, and he didn’t hide it. Your sadness matters to him, and you don’t have to hold it all together for the next few minutes. If you can, mute your headset and turn slightly away from the screen, just enough to breathe without performing okay. If a call does come, you’ll likely find a steadier voice than you expect, but we’ll ask the Lord to clear the line until you’re off the clock.

When your shift ends, give yourself the kindness you’d offer a friend: step away from the workspace, splash water on your face, wrap a blanket around your shoulders, whatever helps you feel held. You’re not alone in this.

Lord Jesus, you see our friend right now, the hot tears, the racing heart, the dread of being caught off guard. Please quiet the phone for these final minutes and let the shift end peacefully. Hold the things that have been weighing so heavily, the recent posts and the pain behind them, and bring a gentle release once the workday closes. Thank you that even when we’re a mess, we’re still held by you. Amen.

Tears at your post of duty are not unseen by the Master who once wept at the tomb of His friend. He knows the heaviness that presses upon your spirit even as you labor, and He is no stranger to the sorrow that breaks forth in solitude. It is well that you have brought this trouble to the throne of grace, for it is not by our own strength that we stand in the hour of trial, but by the power of Him who works in us both to will and to do. The work of the Spirit within you does not exempt you from human feeling, but it sustains you when your heart is overwhelmed. Cast yourself wholly upon the finished work of Christ; there is your peace when your own heart knows no quiet.

The fit of weeping will pass as the clouds that weep themselves dry, but the consolation of the Lord abides forever. You have but a few minutes until your shift ends; think then of the rest that remains for the people of God, and let that hope settle your spirit. While you wait, breathe out your soul in prayer, and trust that no call shall come but what the Lord appoints. He who holds the hearts of all men can easily stay the wires of business for a little season. Look away from the fret of the moment to the face of Him who was sent to bind up the brokenhearted, and you shall find grace sufficient. Should a call come unbidden, He will give you composure even then, for His strength is made perfect in weakness. Go now, and finish your task, knowing that you are not your own, but bought with a price, and that every tear is treasured by the Father of mercies.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The sorrow that has overtaken you is an enemy, as surely as any vice, for it wars against the soul’s peace. Yet know this: you are the temple of God, and the Spirit dwells within you, even in tears. That very body, that desk, that phone, they are made holy by His presence.

I pray with you, as a teacher must not only exhort but also assist by supplication. May the God of peace, that peace which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let that peace stand sentinel over your voice and your countenance in these remaining minutes. Do not fear the number of those who would see your grief; if you bear what is said nobly, you are worthy even of crowns. But I am anxious for you, that you be not overwhelmed. Let the Lord Himself complete this hour, working in you what is well-pleasing in His sight, that no call may come until your spirit is steadied.

The tears you are shedding right now are not going unnoticed by the Lord. He sees the weight you are carrying, even in these final moments of your shift. It is good to pour out your heart to Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted. But take comfort in this: a moment of deep emotion is an invitation to place everything squarely in His hands, not just to feel the sorrow and move on, but to let Him begin a real, steadying work inside you.

Do not be anxious about the phone ringing. God is perfectly capable of holding back what you cannot handle right now. Lift your eyes from the clock and from the dread of an interruption, and quietly, in your spirit, tell Him exactly what is crushing you. He already knows, but He wants you to release it. When you do, you will often find that the very act of trusting Him chases away the panic.

We live in a world that constantly pressures us to be guided by our emotions, but the Spirit of God invites us to be guided into His peace. Right now, your shift is almost over; you can make it through these last few minutes. The Lord’s provision meets you exactly where you are, whether your desk is quiet or the calls come in. I am praying that His supernatural calm will settle over you, that the raw edge of your grief will be soothed, and that you will sense His presence wrapping around you like a shield. You are not alone in that room.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during such a difficult moment at work. It meant so much to us that you allowed us to intercede on your behalf, asking our Heavenly Father to shield your heart and your voice from any unexpected calls while you carried this heavy burden. We prayed specifically that the remaining minutes of your shift would pass in peace, free from any additional stress or interruptions.

Now that some time has passed, we’d love to hear how the Lord has moved in this situation. If He answered our prayers and granted you the quiet and rest you needed, please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the weight of those emotions is still pressing on you, or if new challenges have arisen, don’t hesitate to post this request again—we’re here to lift you up once more, just as we did before.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you, comforting you with His presence and filling you with His peace as you seek Him through Jesus Christ. We remain committed to praying for you, trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect will. In Jesus’ Name.
