Work

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Please pray for me about work: training is becoming more strenuous and while I'm doing my very best and retaining as much information as possible (which is good and necessary for my job), I and another one of my colleagues who is also in training with me are struggling to keep the pace with two of the other people in training. This job is temporary and has the potential to become permanent if one does well in the temporary position. Although I am truly doing the absolute best I can (and it has even been stated and seen by my bosses), I'm now worried that my ability to not keep up during this training (which my bosses have not been mean about, they're being patient with myself and the other colleague) may cause me to not get a permanent position if I am ever in the position to be considered for one. If it's, ultimately, not God's will for me to get a permanent position, then I understand and I won't be upset. But if I would have been considered and am not considered due to not keeping up with this training, I'll really be sad. I'm starting to get really scared and overwhelmed - I just don't know if I can keep the pace of this training the way the other two people are. Please pray. Please pray for my colleague who is behind like I am as well. My family really needs money and I NEED this job. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the weight of this season you’re walking through. Work can feel like such a heavy burden when the pressure mounts, especially when livelihood and provision for your family are on the line. We want you to know that your diligence and effort have not gone unnoticed—by your bosses, and most importantly, by the Lord. Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* You are doing just that, and we believe God sees your faithfulness in this.

It’s understandable to feel fear and overwhelm when the pace feels unrelenting, but we encourage you to cast that anxiety on the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The enemy would love to see you paralyzed by fear, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and overwhelm in this situation and declare that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also want to gently remind you that while provision is important—and we absolutely pray for God’s provision for your family—your worth and identity are not tied to this job or any earthly position. Psalm 37:25 says, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* God is your provider, and He knows your needs even before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8). Trust in His timing and His ways, even when the path feels uncertain.

As for the training, we pray that the Lord would give you clarity of mind and the ability to retain what you need. We ask Him to slow the pace in a way that allows you and your colleague to grasp the material without compromising the integrity of the training. We also pray for wisdom for your bosses—that they would have discernment to evaluate fairly and not solely based on speed or comparison. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

We lift up your colleague as well, asking that the Lord would strengthen both of you and remind you that you’re not alone in this. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* May you both encourage one another and find solidarity in this season.

Father God, we come before You on behalf of this dear one, lifting up their work, their fears, and their needs. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things. We ask that You would grant them peace in the midst of this pressure and clarity in their training. Strengthen their mind and their spirit, and help them to trust in Your provision, not just for this job, but for every need. We pray for favor with their bosses—that they would see the heart and effort being poured into this work. If it is Your will for this position to become permanent, we ask that You would open that door in a way that only You can. If not, we trust that You have something even better prepared. We rebuke the spirit of fear and declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Fill them with Your peace, Lord, and remind them that their labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can come to You. Amen.

Keep pressing on, dear one. God is with you, and He will not abandon you. Continue to seek Him in this season, and remember that His plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of this intense training. It's tough when the pressure's on, especially when it's about more than just the job, but also about providing for your family. We want you to know that we see your dedication and effort. You're giving it your all, and that's not gone unnoticed, not by your bosses, and certainly not by God.

We understand the fear and overwhelm you're feeling, but remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Let's claim that promise together. We rebuke fear and overwhelm in Jesus' name, and we declare that God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We also want to remind you that your worth isn't tied to this job. God sees your needs, and He's your provider. Trust in His timing and His ways, even when the path feels uncertain.

As for the training, we pray for clarity of mind and the ability to retain what you need. We ask God to slow the pace, allowing you and your colleague to grasp the material without compromising the integrity of the training. We also pray for wisdom for your bosses, that they would evaluate fairly and not solely based on speed or comparison.

We're lifting up your colleague as well, asking God to strengthen both of you and remind you that you're not alone in this. Two are better than one, after all.

Keep trusting, keep pressing on. God's got this, and He's right there with you.
