We join you in lifting up this work week to our Heavenly Father, trusting that He holds all things in His hands and orders our steps when we commit our ways to Him. It is good that you are bringing your labor before the Lord, for Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* Your work is not merely for earthly gain but an act of worship when done unto Him.
We also notice that while you have brought your request to God, you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. This is a vital truth we must address, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which we approach the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him—this is the foundation of all prayer and relationship with God.
If you are already a believer, we encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have boldness and access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Let us also remember Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your thoughts shall be established."* As you seek to perform your tasks well this week, do so with the mindset that you are serving Christ Himself. If splitting (or any other task) is part of your responsibilities, ask the Lord for wisdom, strength, and favor. Remember, too, the words of Philippians 4:13: *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister as they prepare for this work week. Lord, we ask that You grant them favor in the sight of their employers and colleagues. Give them the strength, wisdom, and skill to perform their duties excellently, as unto You. If it is Your will for them to take on splitting or any other task this week, we pray You would make the way clear and provide all that is needed to accomplish it with integrity and diligence.
Father, we also ask that You guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May they work not for the approval of men but for Your glory alone. If there are any challenges or obstacles, we pray You would remove them or grant the grace to overcome them. Let this week be a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or distraction that would seek to hinder their focus or peace. Instead, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in joy, patience, and kindness, reflecting Your light to those around them.
For those reading this who do not yet know You, Lord, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see Jesus as the only way to the Father, the only name by which we are saved. Draw them to repentance and faith in Christ alone.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. May Your will be done in this work week, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
