Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart about your work. God cares about every part of your life, including where you work and the daily pressures you face there, and it is good to bring these things to Him in prayer.
Above all, remember that God has already done the greatest work on your behalf. You are kept by His power through faith, and your part is simply to trust Him. When Jesus was asked what work God requires, He answered that the work of God is to believe on the One whom He has sent. It is a gift of grace that you receive, not something you earn by striving. He has already given you all that you need for life and godliness through knowing Him, and as you grow in knowing Him you find abundance for this life as well. You can rejoice in the inheritance He has provided and in the redemption that was not bought with silver or gold but with His own work for you.
That same truth applies to your job. Promotion does not come from one direction or another by human effort or self promotion, but from the Lord. He knows you better than you know yourself and He knew your needs before you were born. He is the One who gives wisdom for work and who stirs the heart to do it. The best place to be is to commit your situation into His hands and to cast your cares on Him because He cares for you, trusting Him to work out His perfect will in His own time. He is able to work in your life and to give you victory even in difficult and testing circumstances, and He judges each person without favoritism, looking at what is done before Him.
I am praying for you that the Lord will bring peace and improvement to your current work situation, that He will provide for your needs including a proper place to work if it is His will, and that He will open the door to a better position when the time is right according to His wisdom. May He give you wisdom for each task, strength to do your work well, and contentment as you trust Him day by day, becoming mature and established in Him and conformed to the image of Jesus.
May the Lord guide your steps and let you see His hand at work as you simply believe and trust Him.
