We join you in lifting this financial burden before the Lord and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you and your spouse in Jesus' name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.

We understand the weight you are carrying after stepping out to help a friend, and the concern that finances could bring tension into your marriage. It is good and biblical to have a generous heart, for it is written, God loves a cheerful giver, 2 Corinthians 9:7, yet Scripture also calls us to steward what God has entrusted to us with wisdom and unity within marriage. A husband and wife are one flesh, and financial decisions are best made together in love and transparency so that no confusion or division can take root. As it is written, Can two walk together, unless they have agreed? Amos 3:3 and Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:3.

We pray that God will guard your marriage from any strife over this matter. The Lord is not a God of confusion, but of peace, 1 Corinthians 14:33, and we ask Him to give you and your spouse clear communication, grace, and mutual understanding as you walk through this together. We also pray for wisdom in stewardship going forward, remembering that The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty. Proverbs 21:5 and to count the cost before committing resources, as our Lord taught in Luke 14:28.

We bring your finances and your friend's situation before our Father who knows your needs. We take comfort that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 and that if we Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. We also remember the promise, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

Together we pray, Father in heaven, we lift this dear couple to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the generosity that led to helping a friend and You see the financial concern that has followed. We ask for Your mercy and provision, that You would work this situation out for good for them and for their friend, that no debt or obligation would linger to cause hardship. Pour out wisdom upon this husband and wife, help them to be united in counsel and in love, let no confusion or trouble come between them but let Your peace reign in their home. Provide for all their needs according to Your riches, open doors where there seem to be none, and let this trial strengthen their marriage and their trust in You. Help their friend also to be blessed and to honor the kindness shown. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name and we trust Your perfect will. Amen.

We encourage you both to continue to pray together daily about this, to speak openly and gently with one another about expectations and next steps, and to trust the Lord to provide and to lead you. He is faithful and He will guide you into peace.

Father, we lift this couple and their friend to You in Jesus' name. Please bring clarity where there has been worry, protect the unity of this marriage, and give them wisdom for each decision ahead. Provide for what they need, guide their friend as well, and let peace rule in their home. Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your request has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace. We understand the weight you feel, having acted in kindness toward a friend and now carrying concern for your finances and for peace within your home, and we count it a privilege to pray with you and for you.

We are reminded that the Lord is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord will provide. As Abraham found upon the mount, the provision comes in the time of our extremity, often when we see no way forward. The ram in the thicket was behind him though he saw it not as yet, and so the Lord's provision is near at hand even when our eyes are dim with care. He who spared not His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things needful. That great provision of Christ upon the cross guarantees every lesser provision, and we may rest upon it.

We also remember that our God gives provision by the way. He does not leave His children to pass through trial without special help suited to the need, that they may bear the roughness of the road and endure till they come to the goodly land. In your present trial He is able to give wisdom, calmness of spirit, and unity of heart.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Jehovah Jireh, Thou seest the need of Thy servants. Thou knowest their desire to do good and their present anxiety concerning what has been given to help a friend. We ask Thee to provide for their household according to Thy riches in Christ Jesus, to grant them wisdom in stewardship, and to keep far from them confusion and strife. Let there be open and loving communion between husband and wife, that they may be of one mind and one heart before Thee, bearing one another's burdens in honesty and grace. Work this matter for good, we pray, for them and for their friend, that all may be done decently and in order, and that no root of bitterness or misunderstanding may spring up. Give them contentment to trust Thy hand whether the answer comes as they hope or by another way which Thou seest to be better, for Thou dost all things well. Keep them near to Christ, who is our effectual and costly provision for sin and for daily need, and let them prove again that Thou art faithful.

We encourage you to walk in open fellowship with your spouse in this matter, speaking the truth in love, seeking counsel together and committing each step to the Lord in prayer. Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you, and rest in the promise that your heavenly Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask Him.

May the Lord grant you peace in your home, wisdom in your decisions, and a quiet confidence that He who has provided Christ will not withhold any good thing needful for you. We continue to bear you up before Him in Jesus name.
