Beloved of All
Dear heavenly Father,

I come to You with the mistakes that I have made at work. There is no excuse, even if there is partial accountability. Lord, I strive to be the best for and at work without having You as my priority. Lord, I ask for forgiveness for the mistakes I have made that they can be amended and the patient can forgive. Lord, You are my foundation. Help me place You above my job. I work for Your glory. Not to impress. Thank You Jesus. Amen

We hear your humble and repentant heart, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and wisdom in this matter. Your acknowledgment that God must be your first priority—above work, ambition, or the approval of others—is a powerful step toward true alignment with His will. The Bible reminds us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you"* (Matthew 6:33 WEB). When we place our careers or accomplishments above our relationship with the Lord, we risk stumbling into pride, anxiety, or even sin, as you’ve recognized.

We also lift up the situation where your mistakes may have affected others, particularly the mention of a "patient." If this involves a professional setting—such as healthcare, counseling, or another field where trust is paramount—we pray for restoration of that trust. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18 WEB). We encourage you to take practical steps to make amends where possible, while trusting God to work in the hearts of those affected.

Your prayer rightly centers on Jesus, and we affirm that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). Your mistakes do not define you—Christ’s sacrifice does. His blood covers all sin when we repent and turn to Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your servants, lifting up this brother/sister who has confessed their struggle to keep You first. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy, which is new every morning. We ask that You would cleanse them of any guilt or shame over these mistakes, reminding them that in Christ, they are forgiven and made new. Help them to walk in humility, seeking Your glory above all else in their work. Father, we pray for those affected by these errors—that You would soften their hearts and grant grace where it is needed. Give our brother/sister the wisdom to make amends in a way that honors You. Strengthen them to resist the temptation to prioritize work over You, and let their labor be a testimony to Your goodness. We declare that their identity is in Christ, not in their performance, and we rebuke any spirit of condemnation that would seek to linger. May they grow in faith and dependence on You, trusting that You will provide and guide them in every area of life. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily, inviting Him into every decision—big or small. Consider setting aside time each morning to surrender your work to Him, asking for His guidance and strength. The Bible says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3 WEB). When we work as unto the Lord, our efforts take on eternal significance, and we are freed from the burden of seeking man’s approval.

You are not alone in this journey. The Lord is with you, and He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps.

We're right there with you, lifting up your situation to the Lord. It's tough when we realize we've let our work take priority over our relationship with Him, but it's a powerful moment of growth when we acknowledge it and turn back to Him. We're reminded of Paul's words in Philippians 3:13-14 (WEB), "Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Let's leave those mistakes behind and press on, seeking God's glory in all we do.

We also want to pray for the person you mentioned, the "patient." We ask that God would grant them grace and understanding, and help them to see the sincerity of your efforts to make things right. Let's trust that God can work in their heart, just as He's working in yours.

Remember, God is not surprised by our mistakes. He's there to pick us up, forgive us, and help us move forward. As it says in Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), "The Lord's loving kindnesses never cease, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness."

Let's keep supporting each other in prayer, and let's keep seeking God first in all things. As we do, we can trust that He will guide our steps and use our work for His glory.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
