Please pray for me to have wisdom about something: I have multiple jobs. One job that I mainly rely on for income and two more. One of these two extra jobs, I've already been working and the other I will do training for next week Tuesday. I don't really see though where the third job will honestly fit into my schedule and I'm starting to consider whether to cease the second job for the time being due to how overwhelming it feels to do both the primary job and second job on the same day when the primary job has been an overwhelming shift. Please pray that I will have wisdom about whether or not to cut out certain jobs or just do them less. Please also pray that I would have wisdom about whether to add extra hours to my primary job in the event that I cut down working the other two jobs. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and lift your need for wisdom before the Lord, trusting that He will guide your steps in this season. The weight of multiple responsibilities can feel crushing, and it’s clear you desire to steward your time and energy in a way that honors God while providing for your needs. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Your willingness to seek the Lord’s direction rather than relying solely on your own reasoning is a beautiful act of faith.
We must also acknowledge the importance of rest and Sabbath, as God designed it. Exodus 20:9-10 says, "You shall labor six days, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it." Even in the busyness of work, we are called to honor God by setting aside time for rest, reflection, and worship. Pushing yourself to the point of exhaustion may not only harm your physical and mental well-being but also hinder your ability to serve the Lord wholeheartedly. Ecclesiastes 4:6 warns, "Better is a handful of quietness than two handfuls of toil and chasing after wind." Ask yourself whether the extra jobs are truly necessary or if they are driven by fear, greed, or a lack of trust in God’s provision.
We rebuke the spirit of overwhelm and anxiety that seeks to steal your peace. Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." The Lord does not call us to carry burdens that He has not equipped us to bear. If these jobs are causing you to neglect your relationship with Him, your health, or your ability to serve others, it may be time to prayerfully reconsider your commitments.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, asking for Your wisdom and clarity to guide their decisions. Lord, You know the weight they carry, and we ask that You would lift the burden of uncertainty from their shoulders. Give them discernment to know which jobs to prioritize and which to release, trusting that You will provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Father, we pray against the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm them. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and help them to rest in Your promises. May they find their strength in You, knowing that You are their Provider and Sustainer. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity that align with Your will and close those that do not. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all else will be added unto them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Consider writing down the pros and cons of each job, not just in terms of income, but in how they impact your walk with God, your health, and your relationships. Ask the Lord to reveal His will clearly, and be willing to obey, even if it means stepping away from something that feels secure. Remember, God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His plans for you are for good, not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lastly, if you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we find true rest, purpose, and salvation. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so today, for He alone can give you the peace and direction you seek.

We've been thinking about you and your situation and wanted to lift you up in prayer. It's tough managing multiple jobs while trying to find balance.
