We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are grateful that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift you up before the Lord in the days since you shared your heart about the deep hurt from the words and control of your parent, the verbal abuse and mistreatment you endured as a servant in your own home until they passed away, the pain of having relatives turn their backs on you, and the loneliness of being an only child with no family of your own. We heard how those words seemed to set the course of your life in the wrong direction and how the siding of that parent with abusers against you has left you feeling overwhelmed and unable to hold up. We also heard how you love God and Jesus and pray in Jesus Name not to gain things but out of love for Him, even while you feel abandoned by Him, unprotected and unloved, full of dread and doubt, and scared to trust Him because of all you have been through and the gossip and backbiting you have experienced from some in the church.
We want you to know that we see your pain and we are still standing with you in prayer. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted as it says in Psalm 34:18 and He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you as it says in Deut 31:8. Even when a parent has spoken words that have brought such harm, God is able to heal the brokenhearted and bind up wounds as it says in Psalm 147:3 and to give you a future and a hope as it says in Jer 29:11. When you feel you have no strength to keep going back and forth and you wonder what will become of you, He can be your strength and your protector even when people are cruel and take advantage.
We pray in Jesus Name that our Heavenly Father will reveal His unfailing love to you in a new and personal way, lift the heavy burden you carry, heal the wounds of verbal abuse and mistreatment, comfort you in your loneliness, show you that you are fully known and deeply loved by Him, and gently teach you to trust Him more day by day. We pray that He will bring safe and caring people around you to support you and give you wisdom and strength for each step forward.
