It is good to hear thanksgiving in your words, and it is right to give thanks to God. Scripture calls us to offer thanksgiving to Him and to keep the promises we make before Him, recognizing that we are not yet all we should be and needing His help to walk more faithfully. A helpful practice is to notice how often we complain about what is wrong and how often we thank God for what He has done, and to let thanksgiving shape our prayers. The Psalms invite us to come before His presence with thanksgiving and to enter His gates with praise, with singing and a joyful heart, not out of routine but from a heart that truly sees His goodness. His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures, and He is worthy of that praise.
There is also a call in that same place to pay our vows to the Most High. That means walking out our gratitude in obedience. God is merciful and gracious, patient and longsuffering, but His patience is not approval of what is wrong and He does not condone what is contrary to His word. He is not weak. His kindness is meant to lead us to turn from sin and to walk in His ways. As you give thanks for what you have seen Him do, continue to seek Him with a willing heart to do what pleases Him.
You spoke of the future, of a relationship and of steps with a passport and a visa, and of wanting your life to glorify God according to His plan. The future can feel uncertain, but God is not uncertain about it. He reveals what shall come to pass and He declares His purposes, and what He has said He will do. His word about the future is sure and certain, and you can rest your life and your future upon it. He has planned a glorious future for those who trust in Jesus Christ, and His purposes will stand. That does not mean every desire we have is automatically His will, but it does mean we can trust Him to lead us rightly as we submit to Him.
Concerning the interest you mentioned in a partner, we will pray for clear wisdom and for the Lord's will to be done. Marriage in Scripture is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy and living together belongs within that covenant. Salvation and every blessing comes through Jesus Christ alone. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His design, but we do ask Him to guide you into what is holy and good. Pray that this relationship, if it continues, would be tested by Scripture, marked by purity, honesty, and counsel from mature believers, and that it would move toward marriage only if it is clearly God's will and honors Him.
