Your questions touch the deepest matters of faith, family, and hope, and it is good to bring them before the Lord.

There is a history book that does reveal our roots in God, and it is the Bible itself. Scripture traces a family line of faith, beginning with Abraham. God made a promise to him, and Abraham trusted God to keep that promise even though he could not yet see how it would happen. That trust was counted by God as righteousness. That same faith was then seen in Isaac and in Jacob as they blessed their children and looked forward to what God would do. Their hope was not in their own name or bloodline, but in the Messiah God had promised. For us today, we look back to what they looked forward to, the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our true roots are not found in a separate family story or legend, but in being brought by faith into the family of God through Jesus. Anyone who trusts in Him becomes a child of Abraham by faith, not by works or by heritage.

That leads to your second question, whether those in need, including those you mentioned and their families, can turn to Jesus who prays for them. The answer is yes. Scripture teaches that salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by our own efforts. No one can earn righteousness by keeping rules or doing good deeds. At the same time, a genuine faith is never empty. It will show itself in a changed life and in deeds that reflect what we believe. We are not saved by those deeds, but those deeds are the evidence that our faith is living and real.

Jesus is the one you described. He suffered death, conquered it, and lives forever. He was taken up into heaven, and He now lives to intercede for His people. The prophet Isaiah said He would intercede for transgressors, and the New Testament declares that He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to make intercession for them. His intercession is not limited to His earthly mother or His earthly family. He intercedes for all who put their faith in Him. That includes you and those you love and anyone in need who turns to Him.

Faith in this Jesus is not blind. It is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not yet see. It sees more than what is visible, because it rests on the faithful promise of God. Even the great men and women of faith in Scripture had moments when their faith wavered, yet God was faithful to them and remembered the triumphs of their trust in Him. He still works with imperfect people, and faith grows as we walk with Him and learn His faithfulness.

So the invitation is simple and open. Whoever will come to God through Jesus Christ, trusting not in their own goodness but in His death and resurrection, will receive forgiveness, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and a righteousness that God Himself provides through faith. That faith will then begin to shape a new life.

We pray that you and those you carry on your heart will put your full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, that you will find your true roots in Him as revealed in Scripture, and that you will know the comfort of His present intercession. He hears, He lives, and He saves all who come to Him in faith.
