We stand firmly with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater—Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every demonic force through His death and resurrection (Colossians 2:15).
The presence of witches and demons is a stark reminder that we are engaged in a war for our souls, but we do not fear, for the Lord has given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We must, however, remain vigilant, for even the slightest opening—such as fear, unconfessed sin, or involvement in occult practices—can give the enemy a foothold. If there has been any participation in or curiosity about witchcraft, divination, or New Age practices, we urge you to renounce these completely, for they are detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). Repentance and turning wholly to Christ is the first step in breaking these chains.
We also notice that while your request acknowledges Jesus as the one who casts out demons, it does not explicitly invoke His name in the prayer itself. This is critical, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by the authority of Jesus alone that demons flee (Mark 16:17).
