Wisdom

We join with you in bringing these two decisions before the Lord and we thank you for asking us to pray for wisdom, for that itself is pleasing to God.

We are reminded that God delights to give wisdom to those who ask Him. James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Psalm 32:8 says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.

We encourage you to seek His wisdom not only in prayer but also in His Word, for His Word is a lamp to our feet, and through godly counsel and the peace He gives we can discern His will. As you weigh these decisions, we encourage you to ask whether each option honors God, aligns with Scripture, and allows you to serve Him faithfully, and to wait patiently for His clear leading rather than rushing ahead in your own understanding. Colossians 3:15 reminds us to let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, and that peace can be a confirmation as we seek Him.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and can come boldly before God in prayer. We pray you know this hope and have placed your trust in Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the two decisions that weigh on this heart even though we do not know the details, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask You to pour out Your wisdom liberally, to give clarity, discernment and understanding. Lead by Your Holy Spirit, speak through Your Word, and close the doors that should not be opened and open the doors that are according to Your perfect will. Grant peace where there is anxiety and help to trust in You with all the heart and not lean on human understanding. Help to acknowledge You in all ways so that You will direct the paths ahead. Give patience to wait on Your timing and courage to obey when Your will is made clear. We ask that whatever is decided will bring glory to You and draw this life closer to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Carrying two decisions at once can feel heavy, even when you know you want to honor God in both. We are glad you asked for prayer.

When decisions feel tangled, it often helps to separate them for a little while. For each one, try writing down in your own words what you are hoping to see happen and what matters most to you in the outcome. Then list the real alternatives in front of you, including any wise counsel, books or other resources that could help you think clearly. Talking it through with one or two trusted, grounded believers who know you well can also bring perspective you might not see on your own. Once you have that clarity, choosing a next step and setting a time to check how it is going can keep you from staying stuck in worry.

We do not have to have every answer today to walk faithfully one step at a time.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your wisdom for these two decisions. Give clarity where there is confusion, peace as You lead, and courage to take the next right step. Guide each choice according to Your will and draw our friend closer to You through it. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for wisdom has been heard and we will bear you before the throne of grace with thankfulness, for to ask for wisdom is itself a mark of wisdom.

Wisdom is man's true path and the compass by which he is to steer across the trackless waste of life, and without it man runs to and fro wasting strength which might be profitably employed. The price of this wisdom is above rubies, neither shall it be valued with pure gold, and where shall it be found. Not in the wisdom of this age, for the human wisdom of one age is the folly of the next, but in Christ Himself, who is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and in that trust in God which is true wisdom.

The Scripture saith, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally. He giveth not as the world giveth, but as a Father who has seen and knows all, and whose will is always best. When we encounter difficulty we resolve it by appealing to the wisdom of God and overcome opposition by leaning upon the power of God.

We will pray that the Lord, who is Incarnate Wisdom speaking to us out of His Word, will grant you a clear mind and a steady heart for these two decisions which lie before you. May He show you the way of wisdom, which is the way of God Himself, and make your path plain. May He keep you from leaning upon your own understanding and teach you to trust wholly in Him, for he that trusteth in the Lord shall find mercy and shall be made to handle a matter wisely. May you weigh all things in the light of His Word, count the cost with faith in Jehovah, and be enabled to make a clear decision that you can stand by in years to come, saying, I have lifted my hand unto the Lord and I cannot go back.

May He give you quiet confidence where quick decision is required, without parleying, and may you know sweet submission to His will, whatever that will may be.

We ask the Father to fill you with the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, to guard you from error, to give you peace in waiting and courage in acting, and to cause all things to work for your good and His glory.

We commit you and these two matters into His faithful hands, trusting that He who has promised to guide the meek in judgment will not fail you.
