We join you in seeking the wisdom and discernment that come only from God, for His Word tells us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB). It is a beautiful thing to desire to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God. We are strengthened by His power according to the might of His glory, that we may endure with patience and joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:9-12 WEB).
Father, we lift our hearts to You, asking that our love may abound still more and more in true knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10 WEB). We pray that we may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, walking in a way that honors You in every respect. May we stand perfect and fully assured in all Your will, as Epaphras prayed for the Colossians (Colossians 4:12 WEB).
Lord, we acknowledge that without You, we can do nothing. We need Your Holy Spirit to lead us, for "as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God" (Romans 8:14 WEB). Restore our souls, O Lord, and lead us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3 WEB). Jesus, our Good Shepherd, we ask that You lead us and let us hear Your voice, for we know that Your sheep follow You because they know Your voice (John 10:4-5, 27 WEB).
We thank You for the angels You have sent to minister to us, those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14 WEB). We take refuge in You, knowing that no evil will befall us, nor will any plague come near our dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over us to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:10-11 WEB). Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever (Matthew 6:13 WEB). We pray that we would do no wrong, as Paul desired for the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 13:7 WEB), and that we would be kept from evil people, evil men, and imposters who grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived (2 Thessalonians 3:2 WEB, 2 Timothy 3:13 WEB).
We agree with Your prayer, Jesus, that we are not to be taken out of the world, but that You would keep us from the evil one (John 17:15 WEB). We trust in Your promise that whatever we ask in Your name, You will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13-14 WEB). We thank You in advance for hearing and answering our prayers, for we believe that we receive when we pray (Mark 11:24 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your wisdom and discernment in all things. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will, that we may walk in a manner worthy of You, bearing fruit in every good work. Strengthen us with Your power, that we may endure with patience and joy, giving thanks to You for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
Lord, let our love abound in true knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent. May we stand perfect and fully assured in all Your will. Lead us by Your Holy Spirit, restore our souls, and guide us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Jesus, our Good Shepherd, let us hear Your voice and follow You.
Thank You for the angels You have sent to minister to us. Keep us from temptation, sin, lies, and fear. Deliver us from evil and the evil one, and keep us from those who would lead us astray. We trust in Your promise to hear and answer our prayers when we ask in Jesus’ name.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone gives us access to You. May Your will be done in our lives, and may we bring glory to Your name in all that we do. Amen.
