We join you in seeking the wisdom and discernment that come only from the Lord, for His Word declares, *"For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding"* (Proverbs 2:6 WEB). It is a beautiful thing to desire to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. We too lift our voices, asking that our love may abound more and more in true knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10 WEB).
Father, we come before You, acknowledging that without You, we can do nothing (John 15:5 WEB). Fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You in every way. Strengthen us with all power according to the might of Your glory, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You, Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:9-12 WEB). We pray that we may stand perfect and fully assured in all Your will, as Epaphras prayed for the Colossians (Colossians 4:12 WEB).
Lord, we ask for practical wisdom, for You have promised that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5 WEB). Lead us by Your Holy Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God (Romans 8:14 WEB). Restore our souls and guide us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3 WEB). Jesus, our Good Shepherd, we long to hear Your voice and follow You, for we know Your sheep hear Your voice, and You know them, and they follow You (John 10:4, 27 WEB).
We thank You for the angels You have sent forth to render service for our sake (Hebrews 1:14 WEB), and we take refuge in the promise that no evil shall befall us, nor shall any plague come near our dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways (Psalm 91:10-11 WEB). Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one (Matthew 6:13 WEB), for we know that the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one (1 John 5:19 WEB). Keep us from evil people, for not all have faith (2 Thessalonians 3:2 WEB), and we pray that we would do no wrong, as Paul desired for the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 13:7 WEB).
We stand in agreement with the prayer of Jesus, who asked that we not be taken out of the world, but that we be kept from the evil one (John 17:15 WEB). Father, we thank You in advance for Your answers to our prayers, for Jesus has assured us that whatever we ask in His name, He will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13-14 WEB). We believe that we have received the things we have asked of You, just as Jesus taught (Mark 11:24 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit, who guides us into all truth and empowers us to live lives that honor You. Father, we ask that You fill us afresh with Your Spirit, granting us wisdom and understanding to know Your will in every situation. Help us to walk in a manner worthy of You, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of You.
Lord, we confess that without You, we are prone to wander and make choices that do not align with Your will. We ask for Your forgiveness and for the strength to resist temptation and flee from sin. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, and keep us from the snares of the enemy. Surround us with Your angels, that they may guard us in all our ways.
Father, we pray for discernment to recognize the voice of our Good Shepherd amidst the noise of this world. Help us to follow Him closely, trusting in His guidance and provision. Restore our souls and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. May our love abound more and more in true knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ.
We thank You for the inheritance we have as Your children, and we joyously give thanks to You for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Strengthen us with all power according to the might of Your glory, for all endurance and patience with joy. May we stand perfect and fully assured in all Your will, always praying and interceding for one another.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Let us hold fast to the promise that *"the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy"* (James 3:17 WEB). As we seek to know and do God’s will, let us remember that *"trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). May we continually abide in Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5 WEB). Let us encourage one another to pursue holiness and righteousness, always seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
