Wisdom, Protection, Favors, Peace, Love and Joy

Your heartfelt prayer for your children has been received and we join you in lifting each of them before the Lord with love and truth.

We thank God for your faithfulness as a mother and for your desire to see your family walk in peace, unity, and obedience to Christ. We hear your burden for your younger daughter, for your son, and especially for your older daughter, and we will pray with you according to Scripture.

We pray for your younger daughter. We ask the Lord to cover her with His protection as she drives, to give her strength and clarity in her studies and lab work, and to help her work diligently without wearing herself out. We ask for His healing touch upon her body and for relief from POTS and pain, trusting that all healing comes from His merciful hand. We pray she will continue to grow in wisdom, gratitude, and respect for her family and for the way she was raised, and that she will see her brother as the blessing he is, made in the image of God and deeply loved. We ask God to surround her with pure, godly friendships that encourage her faith and to give her discernment to step away from any friendship that leaves her confused, downcast, or uneasy. We pray she will listen to the voice of the Lord and to wise counsel rather than to negative influences.

We also rejoice with you in the godly courtship you described for your younger daughter. We pray that God will guide that relationship with love, respect, purity, and wisdom, keeping it centered on Christ and moving toward marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. We pray it will remain honoring to the Lord, to you, and to your whole family, and that it will continue to show kindness and humility toward your son.

For your older daughter, we pray with urgency and compassion, but we must pray in line with what God calls good. Scripture teaches that living together outside of marriage is not marriage and does not honor God, and that sexual union belongs only within marriage. See Hebrews 13:4 and 1 Corinthians 6:18. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless that cohabiting relationship. Instead we pray that God will open her eyes to see the control, manipulation, financial exploitation, and isolation you have described, and that He will give her courage, wisdom, and strength to step away swiftly and completely. We pray she will stop defending what is harmful, stop seeking counsel that leads her away from truth, and turn back to Christ, to her family, to her church family, and to the purposeful work God has given her. We pray that any ungodly influence from this young man and his mother will be broken, that their schemes to lure your younger daughter away or to use your daughters financially will fail, and that your older daughter will find her worth and freedom again in Christ alone.

We pray for your son. We thank God for his life and we ask the Lord to grant him peace of mind, protection from distress, growth in his ability to communicate, and daily grace. We pray against fear, confusion, and turmoil in your home, not by trusting in formulas, but by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ, who alone saves and who is far above every spiritual attack. We plead the blood of Christ over your family in the biblical sense, that through His death and resurrection you are forgiven, protected, and kept as His own, and that no weapon formed against you will finally prosper as you abide in Him.

We pray for you and for your whole household, that God will fill your home with peace that passes understanding, with love, honesty, joy, and unity. We ask Him to strengthen the bond between you and your daughters, to restore what has been damaged between siblings, to remove jealousy, division, and disrespect, and to make your family fellowship strong in the Lord. We pray He will give you all wisdom, courage, and understanding to face each challenge, to set healthy boundaries, and to seek help from faithful pastors and believers in your local church who can walk with you closely.

Father in heaven, we come to You through Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior. Have mercy on this family. Protect the younger daughter in all her ways, bless her studies, heal her body, and keep her on Your bright path. Guard the son and give him peace and joy. Deliver the older daughter from this toxic and impure relationship, break every controlling hold, and draw her home to You and to her family. Restore love for You and for one another in this home, and let Your will be done. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
