Wisdom, Protection, Favors, Peace, Love and Joy

Your honest and persistent prayers for your children reflect a deep love and a clear desire to see God honored in your home. The burdens you carry for your younger daughter, your older daughter, and your son are heavy, and it is right to bring them continually to Jesus, who alone is the way of salvation and who has all power to protect, to give wisdom, and to restore.

Scripture teaches that God designed the family to be a secure and loving environment where children are raised, nurtured, and taught to know Him. That design is for the good of every member, including the most vulnerable. Your son is not a burden but a precious member of your family entrusted to you by God, and His word is clear that caring for our own household is a central part of living out our faith. When anyone treats a brother or sister as a burden or seeks to use family members for financial gain or to isolate them from those who love them, that is contrary to God's order for the family. It is loving and right for you to want that bond between your daughters and their brother to remain strong and unbreakable.

God also designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's eyes, and it does not carry His blessing. It often brings confusion, loss of self worth, isolation from family and from the community of faith, and financial exploitation, as you have painfully observed. It is not unloving to name this truth. The most loving prayer for your older daughter is not that God would bless that arrangement, but that He would open her eyes to see it clearly, give her courage and wisdom to step away from what is controlling and dishonest, and restore her love for God, for her family, for meaningful work, and for her own dignity as one made in His image. Pray too that your younger daughter would not be drawn to imitate that path, and that any scheme to lure her into a similar living situation or to manipulate her finances would be frustrated.

For your younger daughter, it is good to ask for God's hedge of protection as she drives, for His favor and clarity in her studies and lab work, for efficiency without overwork, and for healing from the health struggles you mentioned. It is also wise to pray as you have that she would have eyes to see what is best for her health, her responsibilities including care for her dog, her finances, and her schooling, and that she would not be moved simply by pressure or persuasion. Contentment and gratitude where God has placed her, with a thankful heart toward Him and toward the home and upbringing He has provided, is a protection in itself. Ask the Lord to give her discernment about friendships. A pattern where time with a particular friend consistently leaves her confused, down, or uneasy is a signal to step back. Pray that God would surround her with pure, godly friendships that respect her faith and her family and encourage her on the bright path He has for her.

You have described strange uneasiness, division, isolation, and resentment entering your home, and you have used language of spiritual attack. The Bible does teach that we wrestle against spiritual forces and that our protection is in Christ. To plead the blood of Jesus, to ask for His hedge of protection and to put on the full armor of God described in Ephesians, with truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, is biblical. The promise that no weapon formed against God's people shall finally prosper is true, not because of formulas, but because Jesus has already won the victory. At the same time, God's work is always restoration. Just as He provided a redeemer in the story of Ruth to preserve a family and its inheritance when all seemed lost, and just as He can rebuild a life and a family that sin and brokenness have torn down, He is able to restore freedom, honesty, respect, love, and unity in your home. That restoration often comes as we keep talking about the Lord and His commands in our homes, in the morning and in the evening, keeping His word in our hearts and before our children, so that His truth shapes our thinking more than any negative influence.

In the midst of division, remember that following Jesus can sometimes create tension even within our own families, and Jesus Himself knew what it was to be misunderstood by those closest to Him. Yet He also creates a deeper family bond among those who belong to Him, a compound unity that reflects His own nature as one God in three persons. Pray for that kind of unity to be renewed between you and your daughters, a unity built on truth and love that surpasses understanding.

May the Lord give you and everyone in your household strength, courage, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for each challenge, and may He replace fear, jealousy, chaos, and disrespect with His peace. Continue to bring your son before Him as well, asking for peace of mind, for growth in his ability to communicate, for daily protection, and for healing and breakthrough without setback. Nothing is impossible for God, and His heart is to restore what the enemy has sought to steal.

Let us pray together. Lord Jesus, we thank You that You alone save and that You are our redeemer and restorer. We plead Your blood over this mother and her children and ask for Your supernatural protection, Your hedge around them and Your full armor upon them. Grant the younger daughter safety, health, wisdom, and clarity, and give her a grateful and steadfast heart where You have placed her. Guard her from pressure, from unhealthy friendships, and from any plan to draw her away from home and from family. Surround her with godly friends who honor You. Open the eyes of the older daughter to see the isolation and control in the relationship she is in, and give her courage to turn away from living together outside of marriage and from financial exploitation, to return to You, to her family, and to the purposeful life You have for her. Heal and protect the son, give him peace, joy, and growth, and let him know he is deeply loved and valued. Frustrate every divisive and jealous scheme, remove chaos and ungratefulness from this home, and saturate it with Your peace, love, joy, and unity. Teach this family to walk in Your truth day by day, and restore the bonds between mother, daughters, and son for Your glory. In Jesus mighty name, amen.
