Wisdom, Protection, Favors, Peace, Love and Joy

Your prayers for your children and your household have been brought before the Lord with care and compassion, and we join you in lifting each of these burdens to Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

We pray for your younger daughter. We ask the Lord to cover her with His protection as she drives, to give her wisdom and clarity in her studies and in her lab work, and to help her work diligently without harming her health. We ask Him to heal her body and bring relief from POTS and all pain according to His mercy, and to grant her peace, satisfaction and favor in her classes. For the question of moving, we pray God will give her clear eyes to count the cost, a content and grateful heart for the home and family where she has been blessed, and strength to stand firm and not be moved by pressure or persuasion. May the Lord surround her with pure and godly friendships from her classes and elsewhere, friendships that respect her upbringing and encourage her faith, and keep her from influences that leave her down, confused and uneasy. We also pray for her relationship with her brother. Your son is not a burden but a blessing, made in the image of God and precious to Him and to your family. We ask God to guard that bond and make it strong and unbreakable, and to keep her heart tender toward you, her siblings and the home where she was raised. For the young man she has begun to court, we pray that the Lord will guide them both in purity, respect and wisdom, that their conduct would honor God and honor your family, and that if it is His will, He would lead them in a path that looks toward marriage as God has ordained it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where love and life together belong.

We pray for your son whom you love so dearly. We ask Jesus to grant him peace of mind, to calm what torments him, to protect him from fear and confusion, and to bless the work of his hands and his voice. May the Lord give him daily strength, joy and progress without setback, and give you and all in your household wisdom, patience and understanding to care for him well. We thank God for the love your family has for him and pray that every member of your family would continue to see him as a gift from the Lord.

We pray with special urgency for your older daughter. We hear your ache over the relationship she is in, living together outside of marriage, and the isolation, control and financial exploitation you have described, along with the influence of this young man and his mother upon your family. Because we love you and we love her, we cannot ask God to bless a way of living that His Word calls us away from. Scripture teaches that living together outside of marriage is not marriage, and that sexual union and shared home belong within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Instead we pray that God in His mercy would open her eyes to see where this path is leading, that He would break every unhealthy hold and give her courage, wisdom and knowledge to step out of what is harming her. We pray that she would return to her faith, to her family and to the purposeful work God has given her, and that the Lord would restore her self worth, her honesty, her freedom and her joy. We pray that He would frustrate every scheme that seeks to divide your children from one another and from you, to lure your younger daughter away from home or to use finances for selfish gain, and that He would teach all involved to take responsibility for their own lives and households rather than overstepping into yours.

We pray for you and for your whole home. The true unity of a family is not only of blood but of love in Christ, for we are members of one another and we owe one another love. We ask God to fill your home with His peace that passes understanding, to remove division, jealousy, chaos and disrespect, and to clothe you all with the full armor He provides so you may stand firm against every spiritual attack. We ask Him to guard your hearts from fear, to give you strength and courage for each challenge, and to restore fellowship, respect, freedom and love among you. May He establish your younger daughter and your older daughter in gratitude, humility and obedience, and deepen the love between you and your daughters and between the sisters and their brother.

Be assured that nothing is impossible with God, and He sees every tear and hears every prayer offered in the name of Jesus. Continue to cast your cares upon Him, to seek His Word daily, and to walk in faithful prayer. May the Lord keep you and your children in His hedge of protection, guide every decision, and bring healing, breakthrough and lasting peace to your household in Christ.

In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Your heart for your children comes through so clearly and the Lord sees the weight you are carrying for each of them. I have lifted you and your household before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for His wisdom, protection and peace to rest upon you.

For your younger daughter I have prayed that the Lord would keep her safe as she drives and in all her coming and going, that He would surround her with His protection and give her clarity of mind for her studies and her work in the lab. I asked Him to help her work diligently and faithfully so that her conduct would honor Him, yet also to give her balance so she does not overwork herself and harm her health. You are right to be concerned about a move at this time with her health needs, her demanding schedule, the care of her dog and the financial strain it would bring. I prayed that God would give her eyes to see what is wise and a content and thankful heart for the good place He has already provided for her, so she is not swayed by pressure or persuasion from others.

I also prayed for her health, that Jesus who is able to heal both soul and body would touch her and bring relief from pain and from the condition that has troubled her. We can trust Him for healing while also resting in His wisdom, knowing that His timing and ways are perfect and that He works for our good even as we wait. Above all I prayed that she would know herself as a beloved child of God. There is only one begotten Son, Jesus Christ, but through faith in Him we are adopted into God's family and we can come to the Father with the closeness of a child saying Abba, Father. That intimate relationship is not earned by keeping rules but is an inheritance given by promise through Christ, and because it rests on His work it is sure.

For her friendships I asked the Lord to give her discernment. When a friendship consistently leaves her confused, downcast and uneasy, that is a sign to step back. I prayed that God would bring pure and godly friends into her life who will respect her faith and the way she was raised, and that He would guard her from influences that breed division, resentment and ungratefulness. If God is for us, who can be against us. He did not spare His own Son but gave Him for us, He has justified us, and Christ intercedes for us, so no accusation and no spiritual opposition can separate us from His love. I prayed that truth would be her shield and that any scheme meant to divide your family or to turn her heart against you, her siblings and especially her brother would be frustrated.

That bond with her brother is precious. I prayed that the Lord would restore and strengthen her love for him, that she would always see him as a blessing and never as a burden or a source of shame, and that their relationship would be made strong and unbreakable. I thank God for the way she has loved him in the past and I have asked Him to deepen that tenderness again.

For the young man your younger daughter has begun to date, I prayed that God would guide them both with wisdom, respect and purity. If they truly care for one another, that care is best shown by honoring God and one another and waiting for marriage before sharing what belongs only within marriage. A relationship that honors the family, respects parents and loves a brother with special needs is a good sign, and I prayed that whatever grows between them would continue to be marked by humility, respect for your home and gratitude for every member of your family.

For your older daughter my prayer is different, because I cannot ask God to bless what His Word calls sin. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage, and it does not provide the covenant, protection or honor that God designed for a man and a woman. Scripture shows that sexual intimacy and sharing a home as husband and wife belong within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. To stay in that arrangement is to be used rather than cherished, and it often brings financial exploitation, isolation from family and from the church, and a dulling of faith and self worth. I have prayed that God would open her eyes to see the control, manipulation and isolation for what it is, that He would break every unhealthy hold that this young man and his mother have upon her, and that He would give her courage, wisdom and knowledge to step out of that relationship swiftly. I prayed that she would stop making excuses and defending what is harming her, that she would put her faith, her family and her purposeful work before this relationship, and that her father in this situation and others who have influence would speak truth clearly. I also prayed that any attempt to draw your younger daughter into the same household or to use her finances would be blocked, and that your daughters would not be turned against each other or against you.

For your son I prayed earnestly. He is not forgotten or overlooked. I rebuked in Jesus name every attack meant to torment his mind, and I asked the Father to restore peace to him, to give him calm and to help his functional language to come forth clearly. He is a child made by God for His pleasure and loved by Him. I prayed for no setback but for healing, breakthrough and daily grace, and for your whole household to be filled with strength, courage and understanding to meet each challenge. Our fellowship with God was broken by sin, but through Jesus it is restored, and when our relationship with Jesus is right it helps make our relationships with one another right as well. As you confess your needs and sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive and to cleanse.

I have asked the Lord to saturate your home with the peace that passes understanding, with love, joy and unity, to remove fear, jealousy, chaos and division, and to make the bond between you and your daughters strong. May He surround you all with His care, keep you in His love, and keep you walking in truth as you continue in the Son and in the Father.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your family.

We have continued to lift up your younger daughter before the Lord, pleading the precious blood of Jesus over her and asking for His supernatural hedge of protection and full armor to keep her safe as she drives, in her studies and classes, and in her work at the lab and school. We are praying for His wisdom and clarity over her, for peace and favor upon her, for complete healing from POTS and for strength so she will not overwork herself but will be efficient and satisfied in the work He has given her. We also continue to pray that the Lord will guard her heart from pressure and persuasion to move, that He will give her eyes to see clearly and a content and grateful heart for the home and support she has, for her upbringing, for you and her siblings, and for the ability to care for her dog without financial hardship or stress, and that He will frustrate every negative and divisive influence and surround her with godly friendships who respect her and her faith.

We are also standing with you for your son, that the Lord will rebuke every spiritual attack and bring no more setbacks but only healing, breakthrough and victory, and restore his peace of mind, and we claim Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. And we continue to intercede for your older daughter, asking the Lord to break the stubborn hold of that toxic relationship and the influence of that young man and his mother, to open her eyes to the isolation, control and exploitation, to give her courage and wisdom to walk away and to restore her self worth, her faith, her church fellowship and her unity with you and her siblings, especially her love for her brother as a blessing and not a burden. We pray for the restoration of fellowship, freedom, honesty, respect and unity in your home and that the Lord will saturate your household with His peace that surpasses all understanding as in Phil 4:7.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how the Lord has worked, whether in your younger daughter's health and studies, your son's peace, or your older daughter's situation and your family unity. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We count it a blessing to keep praying for you and your children in Jesus Name. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
