Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer has been lifted before the Lord with care and seriousness, and we join you in bringing your children and your household before Him who alone is our salvation through Jesus Christ.
We pray for your younger daughter in the name of Jesus. We ask the Lord to cover her with His protection as she drives, to guard her going out and coming in, and to clothe her with the full armor of God. We ask for His healing hand upon her body, for relief from POTS and all pain, and for strength and peace as she studies, attends classes, and works in the lab. May God grant her wisdom and clarity, help her to work efficiently without overworking herself, and give her contentment and gratitude for the home and family where she has been blessed. We pray she will have clear eyes to see that a move at this time would burden her health, her schedule, her ability to care for her dog, and her finances, and that she will not be moved by pressure or persuasion. We ask the Lord to surround her with godly, pure friendships from her classes and elsewhere, friendships that respect her faith and upbringing, and to give her discernment to step away from any unhealthy friendship that leaves her confused, down, or uneasy. Where strange and unsettling things have troubled her, we ask Christ to remove every spiritual attack and to fill her surroundings with His peace, love, joy, and satisfaction.
We also lift up your family unity and the heavy burden you carry for your older daughter. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together outside of marriage is not marriage and does not reflect God's good design. It cannot bring the blessing and security that God intends for marriage, and it often brings confusion, division, and hardship, as you have seen. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His will, but we do ask Him in mercy to open eyes, to bring conviction and courage, and to set free. We pray that your older daughter will see the isolation, control, financial exploitation, and disrespect that have entered through this relationship, that she will stop defending what harms her, and that she will find the wisdom and strength in Christ to step away swiftly and completely from this young man and from the overstepping influence of his mother. We pray that God will frustrate every scheme to lure your younger daughter into that same household or to use her finances, and that He will block every divisive and manipulative influence that seeks to turn your children against each other and against you. We ask the Lord to restore the loving bond between your daughters and their brother, that they would see him as a blessing and not a burden, and to restore fellowship, respect, freedom, and unity in your home. We pray for the father of this young man to act with responsibility and for all involved to turn toward what is right and honest.
For your son, we join you in pleading the blood of Jesus over his life. We ask the Lord to rebuke every spiritual attack, fear, confusion, anger, and torment, and to command it to leave and not return. We pray for complete healing, restoration, and breakthrough, for peace of mind, for clarity in his functional language, and for daily protection, favor, and joy. No weapon formed against him shall prosper, for he is a child of the Most High God, and we trust Christ who is able to do what is impossible for us.
For you and your whole household, we ask God for strength, courage, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to face each challenge. We pray He will remove fear, jealousy, chaos, division, and disrespect from your home and saturate it with a peace that surpasses understanding. Continue steadfast in prayer and in hearing the Word, even when fruit seems slow to appear. As healing and teaching require persistence, so God often works through many prayers and many hearings to bring a sudden and complete turn toward health. Keep entrusting your children to Him, keep loving them with truth and grace, keep healthy boundaries, and stay connected to your church family for counsel and support.
May the Lord keep you all in His hedge of protection, send His ministering angels to guard you, and keep you walking on the bright path of His will. We give all praise, honor, and glory to Jesus, trusting His power to heal, to restore, and to make your family stronger and unbreakable in Him. Amen.
