We join with you in lifting up your daughters and this family situation before the Lord, standing firmly on the truth of His Word. Your heart for your daughters is evident, and we commend you for seeking God’s intervention in their lives. We also want to address the spiritual and relational concerns you’ve shared, as the enemy seeks to divide families, but our God is a God of restoration and unity.
First, we must acknowledge that your prayer is rightly placed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and through which we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, and we rejoice that you have done so.
Now, let us address the spiritual warfare at play in your family. The division and manipulation you describe are not of God, for *"God is not a God of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33, WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the world. We stand with you in rebuking every scheme of the enemy to bring division, jealousy, and disrespect into your home. The Word of God is clear: *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith"* (1 Peter 5:8-9, WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against your daughters shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We also must address the sinful influence in your older daughter’s life. Living with a man outside of marriage is fornication, which is explicitly condemned in Scripture. *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, WEB). This relationship is not only dishonoring to God but is also a stumbling block to her sister and your family. We pray that your older daughter would repent and turn away from this sin, seeking God’s forgiveness and restoration. May she prioritize her relationship with Christ above all else and honor the Lord with her body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray she would flee from this ungodly union and seek a marriage that honors God—one built on the foundation of Christ, with a man who loves the Lord and leads her spiritually.
For your younger daughter, we pray for a hedge of protection around her mind, heart, and spirit. May the Lord guard her against the lies and manipulations of the enemy, who seeks to turn her against you and her siblings. We pray that she would be rooted and grounded in love, *"that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God"* (Ephesians 3:17-19, WEB). May she be surrounded by godly friendships that encourage her faith and help her grow in wisdom and stature, as you’ve prayed. We also lift up her health, asking the Lord to touch her body and bring complete healing from POTS and any pain or illness. *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. By his wounds you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB).
We pray for the restoration of the bond between your daughters, that the Lord would soften their hearts toward one another and toward you. May He remove any bitterness, resentment, or pride that has taken root, replacing it with love, humility, and unity. *"Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tender-hearted, courteous, not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing"* (1 Peter 3:8-9, WEB). We declare that the Lord will frustrate the plans of those who seek to sow discord in your family. *"The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations"* (Psalm 33:10-11, WEB).
For her academic and career pursuits, we ask the Lord to grant her wisdom, knowledge, and favor. May He guide her steps as she seeks His will for her future, whether in a PhD or MD program. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). We pray for supernatural breakthrough in her studies, that she would excel and bring glory to God in all she does. May she work efficiently and not grow weary, trusting in the Lord’s strength rather than her own.
Finally, we pray for you, dear sister, that the Lord would strengthen you with His might in your inner being. May you be filled with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that you would continue to stand firm in faith, trusting that the Lord is working all things together for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family and the spiritual battles they face. Lord, You are a God of unity, love, and restoration, and we ask that You would move powerfully in this situation. We bind every spirit of division, manipulation, and jealousy that seeks to destroy the bonds of love in this family. Father, we ask that You would expose the lies of the enemy and bring Your truth to light. Softening the hearts of these daughters, drawing them back to You and to one another in love and respect.
Lord, we pray for the older daughter, that You would convict her of the sin of living with this man outside of marriage. May she repent and turn away from this ungodly relationship, seeking Your forgiveness and Your will for her life. Raise up godly influences in her life, Lord, and lead her to a marriage that honors You, if it is Your will. Surround her with Your love and truth, and break every chain of deception that binds her.
For the younger daughter, we pray for Your protection over her mind, heart, and spirit. Guard her against the schemes of the enemy, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Heal her body completely, Lord, and grant her strength, wisdom, and favor in her studies and career. May she shine as a beacon of Your light wherever she goes, bringing glory to Your name.
Father, we pray for the restoration of this family. Heal the wounds that have been inflicted, Lord, and knit their hearts together in love and unity. Frustrate the plans of those who seek to bring chaos and division, and let Your peace reign in their home. Grant this mother wisdom, strength, and perseverance as she stands in the gap for her daughters. Fill her with Your joy and hope, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun.
We declare victory over this family in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. Lord, we ask for Your supernatural favor, breakthrough, and blessings to overflow in their lives. May they experience Your goodness and mercy in abundance, and may their story be a testimony of Your power and faithfulness.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
