Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing your family before the Lord with a heart of trust in His power and mercy.
We thank God for your faith in pleading the blood of Jesus Christ over your children. There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other shelter so strong. We pray with you for your younger daughter, that the Lord would guard her today and give her a peaceful and settled day at school. May He grant her favor with her teachers and true wisdom and knowledge in her studies, not the wisdom of this world which passes away and profits little, but the wisdom from above which is pure and leads to life. As it is written, God has made Christ Himself to be our wisdom, and that wisdom is far greater than all the counsel of those who do not know Him.
We pray that the Lord would protect the love and respect between your daughter and her brother, and strengthen the bonds of unity, love, peace, gratefulness and respect in your whole household. Where there has been strife and division sown by outside influences, we ask God to bring healing and restoration. We ask Him to give your younger daughter clear eyes to see the practical realities you have mentioned, her health, her busy schedule, the responsibility of caring for her dog, and the financial hardship that moving would bring. Grant her the true prudence to count the cost wisely and to remain content and steadfast where she has been doing well, not being drawn away by persistent pressure.
We also lift up your older daughter with love and concern. We do not ask God to bless a living arrangement outside of His design for marriage, which is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman where love and life together belong, but we do ask Him in mercy to open her eyes to see the path she is on and to lead her to repentance and to new life in Christ. We pray that the Lord would in His perfect timing and power separate her from what is harmful and toxic, and draw her back to Himself and to wholeness. We pray that both of your daughters would not imitate gossip, disrespect, ungratefulness, exclusion or mocking, but would instead grow in the character of Christ.
For your son, we pray for protection from every form of hatred, harmful words and spiritual evil. We stand with you on the promise that no weapon formed against those who are in Christ shall prosper, and that by His wounds we are healed. We ask the Lord to place His hedge of protection around you and your children, to clothe you in the full armor of God, and to command His angels to guard you.
We praise God that your younger daughter has remained steadfast and content at home. May the Lord continue to strengthen her faith, for faith is what makes us whole and makes us daughters and sons of God. May He keep her from the dark path that others would guide her toward, and swiftly remove those negative and jealous influences that have caused havoc in your family. May He replace confusion with clarity, anxiety with peace, and complaining with gratefulness.
Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in this family. Let Your will be done. Restore what has been broken, guard what is good, and lead each of your children into the wisdom that You ordained before the world for Your glory. Help this mother to continue in prayer with a contrite and trusting heart, knowing that prayer is able to accomplish great things.
We declare your trust in the Lord that nothing is impossible for Him, and we ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our peace. Amen.
