Good and Faithful Servant
I went to see five apartments yesterday and all have different types of concerns and also the hidden costs. I got pressure from my friend whom accompanied me to see apartments yesterday he cursed me that all five are good despite of the risks (too long commute time for work, broken of old elevator or water leakage) and also the hidden costs like need to buy an extra stove/fridge/washer. He said I am giving myself too many difficult time and commuting 1.5 to 2 hours per trip to work is normal. No problem to have no supermarket and no doctor clinic nearby. No problem to have mold and paint peeling off the walls etc. I have blocked him because of this pressure. I cannot tolerate what he said any longer. I am afraid I will make a very wrong decision because of him. I have some barrier because I have an autoimmune disease so I have to be very careful to see the setting inside the apartment and how to go in n out without barrier to all the places I have to go. This is how I have been sustaining myself to have a normal life as other normal healthy people. But I cannot gain any respect and compassion from this friend. He just think the cheapest and closest to his home are the best. That's it. Very upset day. Finally I have decided to block him out in order to stay calm n have peace. Pray that God will give me wisdom n discernment to make correct decision. Seems most places which I saw will required to buy new appliances n furnitures at the same time. I will have to throw away many of the items at my home. As I am packing now. Pray that God will send other helpers to my home and He will also give me better place which I won't have to afraid not not able to get a job because of living too far, no need to worry mold, paint on wall peeling off, EMF 5g tower. Clean fridge and washer are already available. No evil Spirit inside the apartment, I can have good physical n mental health living in the new home. In Jesus' name Amen

We understand the weight of this decision and the distress caused by the lack of compassion from someone who should have supported you with wisdom and patience. It is clear that your friend’s words were not only unhelpful but also dismissive of the very real challenges you face due to your autoimmune condition. You were right to distance yourself from such pressure, for Proverbs 13:20 warns us, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* His cursing and insistence that you lower your standards do not reflect godly counsel, and we commend you for seeking peace by blocking him. The Lord calls us to surround ourselves with those who build us up, not tear us down (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Your concerns are valid and must be prayerfully considered. A home should be a place of refuge, not a source of additional stress or health risks. The hidden costs, potential hazards like mold or peeling paint, and the strain of a long commute are not trivial matters—especially when your health depends on a stable and safe environment. Jesus Himself reminds us in Matthew 6:32-33, *"Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* This does not mean we ignore practical needs, but that we trust God to provide wisely as we steward our health and resources well.

The financial burden of replacing appliances and furniture is also a significant consideration. We encourage you to pray for God’s provision in this area, remembering Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* If the cost feels overwhelming, ask the Lord to open doors for affordable or even secondhand items in good condition, or for helpers to assist you in the transition. He is faithful and sees your diligence.

As for the spiritual aspect of your new home, we join you in praying against any influence of evil spirits. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that *"our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against... the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."* Claim this space for God’s purposes, inviting His peace and protection over it. You may even anoint the doorposts with oil as a symbolic act of dedication to the Lord (Exodus 12:7, though this is not required for salvation, it can be a meaningful act of faith).

We also lift up your fear about job stability due to location. Trust that the Lord goes before you (Deuteronomy 31:8) and will guide you to a place where you can thrive both physically and professionally. If none of the five apartments meet your needs, do not rush into a decision out of desperation. Wait on the Lord, for Isaiah 40:31 promises, *"Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."*

Lastly, we rejoice that you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you ever feel overwhelmed, remember that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15). Your health and well-being matter deeply to God, and He will not lead you into a place that undermines the life He has given you.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who seeks Your wisdom and discernment in this critical decision. Lord, You know the depths of her concerns—the financial strain, the health risks, and the fear of making a wrong choice. We ask that You quiet her heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remove any anxiety that has taken root.

Father, expose any hidden dangers in these apartments—whether physical, financial, or spiritual—and make the right path undeniably clear. If none of these options are from You, close those doors firmly and open the one that aligns with Your perfect will. Provide for her needs, Lord, whether through a better living space, helpers to assist in the move, or the means to afford necessary items without undue hardship.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, haste, or fear that would pressure her into a harmful decision. Cover her with Your protection, Lord, and let no weapon formed against her health or peace prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill her new home with Your presence, that it may be a sanctuary of rest, healing, and joy. Remove any ungodly influences and let Your light shine in every corner.

For the friend who spoke curses and dismissively, we pray for conviction and repentance. Soften his heart, Lord, and if it is Your will, restore this relationship in a way that honors You. But if not, grant her the strength to move forward without bitterness, trusting You to send godly counselors into her life.

Father, we declare that You are her Provider, Healer, and Guide. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, that others may see and glorify Your name. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, **Amen.**

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s face in this matter. Write down the pros and cons of each option and pray over them, asking God to highlight His choice. If possible, visit the apartments again with a clear mind, or ask another trusted believer to accompany you for a second opinion. The Lord delights in guiding His children—trust that He will not leave you without direction.

I'm right there with you, friend. It's tough when we feel pressured to make a decision that could significantly impact our lives, especially when it comes to our health and well-being. I appreciate your courage in standing up for what you need, even when it's not easy.

I want to echo what you've said about the importance of wisdom and discernment in this situation. Proverbs 4:5-6 tells us, "Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you." Let's ask God to fill us with His wisdom as we consider each option.

I also understand the frustration you're feeling towards your friend. It's disappointing when someone we care about doesn't show us the compassion and understanding we need. But remember, God is our ultimate source of comfort and strength. As Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust Him to heal our hearts and give us peace, even in the midst of this situation.

As for the apartments, let's continue to pray that God would make the right path clear. If none of these options are from Him, then let's trust that He will close those doors and open the one that aligns with His perfect will. We can also ask Him to provide for your needs, whether that's through a better living space, helpers to assist in the move, or the means to afford necessary items without undue hardship.

And friend, please know that you're not alone in this. We're here for you, praying with you and for you. Let's keep seeking God's face together, trusting that He will lead us to the right decision.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
