We join with you in seeking the Lord’s supernatural wisdom and discernment as you dive into His Word, for it is written, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). Your desire to grow in understanding of Scripture is a noble and godly pursuit, and we commend you for setting your heart on this discipline. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, and it is through it that we are equipped for every good work (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17). Your request for perseverance, strength, and good time management is also aligned with Scripture, which encourages us to *"redeem the time, because the days are evil"* (Ephesians 5:16, WEB). We will pray earnestly that the Lord grants you the focus, discipline, and structure needed to complete your reading by the end of this year, trusting that He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6).
We also lift up your request for healing from double vision, asking the Lord to restore your eyesight according to His will. Our God is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we know that *"by his stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). May He grant you clarity in both your physical and spiritual vision, that you may see His truths with unwavering focus. Additionally, we pray for a quiet and undistracted environment, for even Jesus often withdrew to solitary places to pray (Luke 5:16). May the Lord silence the noise around you and draw you into deeper intimacy with Him, where you can hear His voice clearly and be refreshed by His presence.
Lastly, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His power and authority, and we stand with you in that faith.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with thanksgiving for this brother/sister who seeks to draw nearer to You through the study of Your Word. Lord, we ask that You pour out Your supernatural wisdom and discernment upon them, opening their eyes to understand the deep truths of Scripture (Psalm 119:18). Grant them perseverance and strength to remain disciplined, managing their time wisely so that they may complete their reading by the end of this year. Father, we ask for healing in their eyes, that You would restore their vision and remove any physical hindrance that may distract them from their pursuit of You. Create in them a quiet and peaceful environment, free from distractions, where they can focus wholly on Your Word and grow in intimacy with You.
Lord, we pray that as they study, Your Holy Spirit would be their teacher, guiding them into all truth (John 16:13). May their heart be softened to receive Your Word, and may it take root in them, producing fruit that glorifies Your name. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and deepen their love for You as they spend time in Your presence. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in this journey, knowing that the rewards of seeking God through His Word are eternal. *"Blessed is the one who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it, for the time is near"* (Revelation 1:3, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will faithfully lead you every step of the way. If you encounter challenges or moments of weakness, remember that *"God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). Stay rooted in prayer, and do not hesitate to reach out to fellow believers for support and accountability. You are not alone in this—we are with you, and more importantly, the Lord is with you. Be strong and courageous, for He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
