Beloved Warrior
MY SON, HEAR THE INSTRUCTION

OF YOUR FATHER.

PROVERBS 1:8

HE IS TRULY WISE WHO GAINS HIS WISDOM

FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF OTHERS.

Proverbs are attributed to King Solomon, and in verse 8 I believe he means both your earthly father and your heavenly one. "The wisdom of Solomon", the wisest king of Israel, but as you read the Book of Proverbs he immediately credits that wisdom to God the Father.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, and instruction in righteousness..." Proverbs is no exception.

I will never be as wise as Solomon, nor many of my peers, but I love finding companion scriptures for the verses like today's. I suggest that James provides us with a wonderful and applicable one.

"But the wisdom that comes from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in the peace of them that make peace."

__James 3:17-18
