Silas
Beloved of All
It is good that you are bringing your studies and your hope for this result before the Lord in prayer. God cares about the work of your hands and the desires of your heart when they are offered to Him with trust.
Scripture shows what true success looks like. God told His people that prosperity and good success come as we keep His Word before us, think on it often, and walk in obedience to it. That kind of success is deeper than a grade or an award. It is a life that is steady and pleasing to Him, and from that place He is able to bless the practical efforts you make.
The book of Proverbs makes a similar point when it contrasts the wise and the foolish. It says that to love instruction is to love knowledge, while to reject correction leads to folly. As you have studied for this 12th year, your willingness to learn, to receive correction, and to apply yourself diligently is part of walking in wisdom. Continue in that spirit, not only for an exam but as a habit of character that God honors.
Jesus told a story in the Gospel of Luke about a rich man whose land produced a great harvest. The man thought only about how to store his abundance for himself and gave no thought to God. His plenty did not make him secure before the Lord. The warning is that a prize or reward can be a good gift, but it should not become the foundation of our confidence or joy. Keep your heart centered on God rather than on the prize itself.
The Bible also speaks of prizes and gifts. There are many things people count as valuable, but Scripture encourages us to desire the best gifts, and then it points to a more excellent way, which is love. Love for God and love for others is greater than any certificate or honor. If God grants you this prize, receive it with thankfulness and humility, and use it to serve Him and others.
I pray for you now that the Lord will give you peace as you wait, that He will bless your diligence, and that He will grant you favor in your results according to His wisdom. I pray above all that you will grow in faith in Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation, and that whatever the outcome, you will find your confidence and your future in Him. May the Lord establish the work of your hands and guide your steps into what is good and pleasing to Him.
