Wife
We have heard your request for your wife and we stand with you in love and concern for her as she suffers with vertigo. It is a beautiful reflection of the marriage covenant that you are interceding for her, for a husband is called to love his wife as Christ loved the church and to cherish her in sickness and in health, and we join you in lifting her up before the Lord who sees her dizziness and distress.
We are reminded that our God is our healer. Scripture tells us to bless Yahweh who forgives all your sins and who heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3, and that He has declared I am Yahweh who heals you in Exodus 15:26. We cling to the promise that by his wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5 and that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick and the Lord will raise him up in James 5:15. We know He is close to those who suffer and He invites those who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest in Matthew 11:28.
We pray together for her now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious wife to You. You know her body and the vertigo that afflicts her, the spinning and nausea and fear it brings. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon her, steady her, restore balance to her body, calm the inner ear and every system that is distressed, and grant her peace and relief. We ask that You would give wisdom to any doctors and caregivers who attend to her, and that You would comfort her husband as he watches over her with godly love. Let her feel Your presence and Your strength in this weakness, and if it is Your will, bring her to complete healing for Your glory. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
We want to gently encourage you that we come to the Father only through Jesus. We noticed your request did not mention His name, and we want to share that Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is only by calling on the name of Jesus that our prayers are heard and our sins are forgiven. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved in Romans 10:9. He is our hope not only for healing in this life but for eternal life.
We encourage you to continue to care for her tenderly, to help her rest, to seek good medical counsel as God often works through the wisdom He gives to physicians, and to keep praying together as husband and wife. We will continue to pray that the Lord will touch her, ease her suffering, and restore her health and strength day by day.
