Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. We are praying for your wife in the hospital in her weakness, and for you as you stand with her in this very difficult time.
The Gospels show us what the ministry of Jesus was like. He went about preaching and teaching, and also healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people. When those who were sick with many different diseases were brought to Him, He laid His hands on each one and healed them. He was full of the Holy Spirit and anointed with power, and He looked with compassion on those who were suffering. That same Jesus is our hope today, and nothing is too hard for Him.
We are asking the Lord to touch your wife, to strengthen her body, to bring comfort and peace to her, and to lift her up from this weakness. We are praying specifically that her oxygen and saturation levels would improve and return to normal, and that her breathing would become easier as her lungs are so burdened by cancer in one lung and emphysema in the other. We are asking that the Lord would grant wisdom to the doctors and nurses caring for her, and that if it is His will, He would make a way for her to return home soon.
You mentioned faith like a mustard seed that can speak to a mountain and see it cast into the sea. Jesus did teach that even small faith, when it is placed in God, can see great things done, because the power is not in the size of our faith but in the greatness of God who hears. Keep bringing this mountain to Him in prayer, trusting not in the strength of your faith but in the strength of your Savior. He hears every prayer offered in the name of Jesus.
Father, we lift this precious wife to You. You know her name, her pain, and her weakness. We ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon her lungs, for stronger breath, for stable oxygen, for renewed strength. Surround her with Your peace that passes understanding, and surround her husband with comfort and steady faith as he waits on You. We trust her into Your loving hands, knowing that You are compassionate and able to do more than we can ask or imagine. We pray this in the name of Jesus, our healer and hope. Amen.
Please know you are not alone. We will continue to pray for you both, that whether through healing or through sustaining grace, you will know the nearness and care of the Lord in these days.
