Wife Waiting For Blood Test

We join with you in lifting up your precious wife before the throne of grace and we thank God that she is a believer in Christ Jesus and therefore already secure in His hands. We know how worrying it can be to see swelling and soreness and to wait for blood test results, and we want to stand with you both in prayer and trust together for God's mercy and healing.
Scripture reminds us that our God is our healer and our comfort in times of uncertainty. As it says in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to the promise in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. He also tells us in Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom we have access to Your throne. We lift up this dear wife and sister in Christ to You. You see the swelling and soreness under her neck, You know every detail of her body for You formed her, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch her body and bring healing according to Your will. We pray that You would calm any inflammation, ease the soreness, and restore her to full health. We pray for wisdom for the doctors and for accuracy and clarity in the blood test results, that whatever needs to be treated would be revealed and that there would be no cause for great fear. We ask that You would replace anxiety while waiting with Your perfect peace that surpasses understanding, guarding both husband and wife as they wait upon You. Help them to rest in You, to trust in Your goodness, and to cast all their cares upon You because You care for them. We thank You that You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals us, and we trust her life into Your loving hands. Let Your will be done and let her testimony bring glory to You. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We also encourage you to meditate on Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and to wait patiently on Him. We will continue to hold you both up in prayer for complete healing and for peace as you await the results.

We have heard your earnest request and we join you in bringing your dear wife before the throne of grace. It is a tender mercy that she is a believer in Christ Jesus, for then she is in the good way, the old path where the soul finds rest even in days of trial and waiting.
We know how waiting tries the heart, especially when the body is afflicted and the answer is delayed until the blood test returns. Anxiety in such an hour unfits us to meet the difficulty, and hurries us to and fro. But our God is a waiting God who waits that He may be gracious, and His people are a waiting people who wait in hope, not in despair. You and your wife may therefore wait patiently upon Him, resting in the Lord, knowing that He counts every swelling and every soreness, and not a pain escapes His eye.
There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ, our great Physician. Scripture tells us the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. He who healed the palsied man and said, thy sins are forgiven thee, still shows that pardon and healing flow from the same pierced hand. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek the physician, but how sweet to remember that the Lord Himself is near, the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings.

O Lord our God, our Father in Heaven, look in mercy upon this beloved wife and daughter in Christ. Thou seest the swelling and soreness under her neck and Thou knowest the cause which is hidden from us. Lay Thy healing hand upon her, we beseech Thee. Give wisdom to those who care for her and who will interpret the blood test, and overrule all means for her good. Quiet her heart and the heart of her husband while they wait, and let them find rest for their souls in Christ. Forgive all sin, heal all disease, and let this affliction work for Thy glory and her deeper communion with Thee. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Amen.

Trust Him to order the outcome, whether by a speedy recovery or by sustaining grace through a longer trial, and may His peace which passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
