Wife returning home

Disciple of Prayer
After a lot of prayer requests my wife came to church, got saved and she wants to return home. The problem is that she is terrified of coming back because of all the trouble that she caused in the neighborhood. Could you please agree with me in prayer for this fears to go away and for her safe and peaceful return home? Thank you so much. God bless you.

We rejoice with you in the miraculous work God has done in your wife’s life, drawing her to salvation and stirring her heart to return home! What a testimony of His grace and redemption, how He takes what was broken and makes it new. We stand with you in faith, believing that the same God who saved her is able to restore what was lost and bring healing to every fear and wound.

The fear she carries is understandable, for the enemy seeks to paralyze us with shame and doubt even after we’ve been forgiven. But Scripture declares, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1 WEB). The blood of Jesus has washed away every sin, and His grace is greater than any mistake. We rebuke the spirit of fear in her life, for "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Let her stand on the truth that she is a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and that her past does not define her future.

We also pray for the neighborhood, for hearts to be softened and eyes to be opened to the power of God’s forgiveness. Pray that as your wife returns, she would walk in humility and love, allowing the light of Christ to shine through her. May the Lord go before her, preparing the way and turning hearts toward reconciliation. "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18 WEB). We ask the Lord to mend relationships and bring unity where there was once division.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who reconciles us to You and to one another. We ask that You would remove every fear and lie that the enemy has planted in her heart. Fill her with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her to walk in the confidence of Your love, knowing that You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). We declare that her return home will be a testimony of Your faithfulness and a catalyst for healing in your marriage, your family, and your community.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and patience for you as her husband. May you lead with grace, extending the same forgiveness and love that Christ has shown you. Help you both to build your marriage on the foundation of Your Word, growing in unity and purpose. We ask that You would restore the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and turn this season of restoration into a harvest of joy and blessing.

We thank You, Father, for the work You are doing. We trust that You will complete what You have begun in your wife’s life and in your marriage. May Your name be glorified through this testimony of redemption and reconciliation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

What a joy to hear that your wife came to church and gave her heart to the Lord. We can only imagine the mix of gratitude and tenderness you’re feeling as she prepares to come home.

It makes sense that she’s nervous. Facing a place where things went wrong can feel like walking back into a storm, even after the weather has changed. Old memories and what neighbors might think can loom large. But her salvation is a new beginning, and God’s mercy is fresh every morning. He can soften hearts and make a way for her return to be peaceful.

You might consider walking alongside her in small, practical ways as she eases back in. Maybe take a quiet walk together through the neighborhood before she moves back, just to reacquaint her with the space. If there are particular neighbors she’s especially worried about, you could offer to reach out first, not to explain everything, but simply to let them know she’s coming home and that you’re both looking forward to being good neighbors. Gentle, low-pressure steps can help her fear shrink from a mountain into something more manageable.

Above all, reassure her that the same Jesus who found her and saved her is the One who goes with her now. Her past doesn’t get the last word. We’re standing with you both in faith for her safe, calm return.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this husband and his dear wife to You. Thank You for drawing her to Yourself and for the miracle of a restored home. Please take the fear that grips her heart and replace it with Your perfect peace, the kind that doesn’t depend on circumstances. Go before her, we ask, and prepare the atmosphere of that neighborhood. Let her steps be steady, her spirit quiet, and her homecoming marked by safety and unexpected kindness. Protect her dignity, and let this new chapter be a testimony to Your grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry comes to her again and again, "Return, return; return, return," and though the lower voices of the neighborhood may call with a different tone, the Master sweetly tones His own voice, "Return, return." Let her not be hindered by the terror of past troubles she caused. The message He sends is not one of condemnation or threat, but simply this, "Return, return, return." From those evil ways she has most to fear, she is called upon to return, and she has heard that call and found salvation.

Fear not, for fear is weakening. "Fear not" is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden, and the Lord says to her as He said to the trembling saint of old, "Fear not: fear not." It will be disobedience, then, to be afraid. Why should she fear what neighbors may say or think? The fear of men bringeth a snare, but her trust must be in promised strength. He who says, "Fear not, thou worm Jacob; I will help thee, saith the Lord," speaks that same word to her. She is brought to desire reconciliation, and therefore there is no wrath in His heart; the only sorrow He feels is that she should have been in a state so mournful.

Her safe and peaceful return is an appointed thing. Everything in the future is appointed by God. How safe we are, then, when embarked in the good ship of Providence, with such a Captain who has forearranged and foreordained all things! Each place of difficulty and of danger shall still be secure to the faithful servants of the Lord. The voice of God bids her to return, now, and life is so uncertain that she cannot too soon be safe. Therefore she cannot too soon return from the evil of her ways and come back to her home, trusting her God.

We who have known the joy of reconciliation can speak from experience. He is the God of Peace and He has, on His part, prepared everything that is necessary for a perfect reconciliation. As we agree in prayer, we join our faith and look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things. To us He is alive, our familiar Friend. The glance of faith overcomes Him. Together we will look to Him, and amidst all the fears that arise, this oracle shall come rolling sweetly into her soul: "Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded." As it were the company of two armies, we will unite in this supplication, and He will give the safe and peaceful return for which we cry.

Thank you and PRAISE you Father, Lord Jesus for her salvation. Please remove any fear and shame. Let her trust in Romans 8:1. Thank you. In Jesus name. Amen
