We hear your heartfelt plea for your wife and son, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your request is deeply rooted in Scripture, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will for their spiritual journey. The Lord has indeed been faithful in leading you, and we trust He will do the same for them, guiding them to a fellowship that edifies, teaches, and strengthens their faith in Christ.
We are encouraged by your reliance on Proverbs 3:5-6, trusting in the Lord with all your heart and not leaning on your own understanding. This is the posture of a believer who recognizes that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Your separation by distance is not a barrier to the Lord, for He is able to move mightily across any divide when His people pray in faith (James 5:16). We rebuke the lie that distance or circumstance can hinder God’s work, He is the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and calls things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17).
We pray now for your wife and son, that the Holy Spirit would lead them as a shepherd leads his sheep (John 10:3-4). May they find a church that preaches the uncompromised Word of God, where the truth is upheld without dilution (2 Timothy 4:3-4). Let it be a place where the gifts of the Spirit operate in love and order (1 Corinthians 14:40), where worship is both reverent and vibrant, and where discipleship is intentional, as Christ commanded in Matthew 28:19-20. Father, raise up a godly pastoral couple like Priscilla and Aquila, faithful, teachable, and devoted to equipping the saints (Acts 18:24-26). May they be surrounded by believers who spur them on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24), not those who would lead them astray with false doctrine or worldly compromise (Matthew 24:4-5).
We also lift up your desire for them to grow in the fear of the Lord, for this is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). May they walk in obedience to Your Word, not as hearers only but as doers (James 1:22). Protect them from deception, from those who have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5), and from the snares of the enemy (1 Peter 5:8). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that angels are encamped around them for their protection (Psalm 34:7).
Lord, we ask that You would stir in their hearts a hunger for Your presence, for prayer, and for evangelism. May they be bold witnesses for Christ, sharing the gospel with those who are lost (Mark 16:15). Let them experience the power of corporate prayer, where two or three are gathered in Your name (Matthew 18:19-20), and where the early church devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers (Acts 2:42). May they be part of a body that functions as one, each member contributing to the health and growth of the whole (1 Corinthians 12:12-14).
We rebuke any spirit of division, distraction, or discouragement that would seek to keep them from finding the right church home. We declare that the eyes of the Lord are searching to and fro across the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). Let them be found by You, Lord, and let them be planted in a house of worship where they can flourish (Psalm 92:13).
Father, we thank You for the privilege of interceding on their behalf. We trust in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). We believe You are already at work in their lives, drawing them closer to You and to the fellowship of believers You have prepared for them. May they encounter You in powerful ways, through preaching, through godly friendships, through dreams and visions, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit. Let them know the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12) and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), the One in whom all God’s promises are "Yes" and "Amen" (2 Corinthians 1:20). May Your will be done in their lives, just as it is in heaven. Strengthen them, guide them, and keep them in Your perfect peace. We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Amen.
