Silas
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I have prayed with you about the fear and anger that comes when your wife is being pursued and harassed, even through digital means, by her former husband.
I asked the Lord to cut off every avenue of access he is using to stalk her, to put a clear boundary around her and your home, and to frustrate and confuse every plan of the enemy behind this harassment. The Scripture shows that God is able to blind the eyes of those who intend evil and to turn their schemes into confusion, and we have asked Him to do that here, to keep her hidden and safe under His hand and to take this man far from her in every practical way so that he can no longer reach her or trouble her heart.
I also prayed that God would strengthen and guard your wife's heart. In a biblical marriage the two become one. It is not simply two people living together, it is a compound unity where two lives are joined into one flesh. That oneness is meant to reflect the oneness of the Lord Himself, who is one and yet a unity. Your marriage now is that holy covenant of one man and one woman for life. To harden her heart toward her former husband in this context does not mean bitterness, it means that her heart would be fully settled and guarded within your covenant, with no longing, no confusion, and no opening toward the past, but with loyalty, clarity and peace. Pray that the Lord would so knit you together as one that there is no room for the old voice to intrude.
Jesus taught that God is not the God of the dead but of the living, and that He has power over the resurrection. He sees what is done in secret, He is alive and He defends His people. Because He lives, He is able to deliver, to vindicate, and to bring justice. We can trust Him not only for protection now but for the hope that He will make all things right.
Continue to take practical steps as well. Cut off digital access wherever you can, block accounts, change passwords, document what has happened, and seek help from appropriate authorities and trusted counsel if the stalking continues. Above all keep looking to Jesus Christ alone for salvation and security, and keep guarding your marriage as the one flesh union God has made.
Father, in the name of Jesus, place Your protection around this wife and this marriage. Stop every form of stalking and digital intrusion, confuse the works of darkness, guard her heart and mind in purity and in loyalty to her covenant, and keep this former husband far away. Give this husband wisdom, courage and peace as he leads and protects his home. Let Your presence be a wall around them and let them know Your nearness and power to save. Amen.
