Elka, I understand God's world this way - God never gives us any problems. All the problems that we experience comes from the evil spirit. Remember when Jesus walked on earth, the evil spirit tried to create problems for him too! So when the devil creates problems in our life and we cry out to Jesus, Jesus immediately stands in between the evil spirit and us. Jesus tries to take as much as the problems the devil is throwing on us. The devil continues to attack us and try to make us believe that Jesus is not doing anything for us, so if we give in to his motive and believe that he is right, he will overtake us completely. But when at this time we stand firm and show the evil spirit that we belong to Jesus and not to him, he will get tired and go away. Then it is Jesus who will be the first one to lift you up and rejoice that you had faith in him when the going was tough!! Elka, what I do is, just as I speak to Jesus, I speak to the devil too. But of course in a harsh way. I tell him to get lost from my life and tell him that I belong to Jesus. I even slap him at times. Believe me, it gives me immense pleasure to do so and more often than not the devil just goes away and alongwith him my problems too. Try it and you will feel good!
