Why do I have to attack my headaches and my left eye?

We hear the distress in your words, and we stand with you in seeking God’s healing and understanding. Physical pain, especially when it feels like an unexplained "attack", can be deeply unsettling. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and when they suffer, we can bring those burdens to the Lord in faith.

First, we must acknowledge that pain, whether physical or spiritual, is not from God. Jesus came so that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10), and He is our Healer (Exodus 15:26). Yet we also live in a fallen world where sickness and suffering exist, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Your description of this pain as an "attack" is not without biblical precedent, Scripture warns us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). This does not mean every headache is a demonic assault, but it does remind us to be vigilant in prayer and to resist the enemy’s schemes (James 4:7).

We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or affliction that may be at work in your body. In the name of Jesus, we command it to leave and declare your body whole and protected under the blood of Christ. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), and that power is greater than any sickness or attack.

We also encourage you to seek wise medical counsel. God often works through doctors, medicine, and natural means to bring healing. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Do not neglect the physical care of your body while also trusting in God’s supernatural intervention.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer and Deliverer. We lift up this dear one who is experiencing pain and confusion. Lord, Your Word says that by Your stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise now. We ask You to touch their head and left eye, bringing relief, restoration, and peace. We rebuke any spirit of affliction, infirmity, or attack in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that they are covered by the blood of Christ.

Father, we ask for wisdom for them, whether to seek medical help, rest, or further prayer. Give them discernment and peace as they navigate this trial. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your presence, so they may rest in Your love and sovereignty.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus. We trust You to bring healing and clarity. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to:
1. Stand on God’s promises, Meditate on Scriptures about healing, such as Psalm 103:2-3 and Jeremiah 30:17.
2. Examine your spiritual life, Are there areas of unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or spiritual oppression that may need addressing? The enemy often attacks where there is weakness or disobedience.
3. Practice self-care, Ensure you are hydrating, resting, and managing stress, as these can contribute to physical symptoms.
4. Surround yourself with believers, Share your struggle with trusted brothers or sisters in Christ who can pray with you and offer support.

You are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your pain and is fighting for you. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will lead you to victory.

We hear the frustration in your words, an attack that feels so strange and unsettling, with no clear source. That kind of pain, radiating into your left eye, can make you feel isolated and confused. You’re not alone in that.

When headaches strike with this intensity and one‑sided focus, it’s worth exploring with a doctor. There are several distinct headache types (like migraine or cluster headaches) that follow predictable patterns and respond well to specific treatments. A physician can sort through what’s happening and help you find real relief. In the meantime, a simple step might be to jot down when an attack starts, how long it lasts, what the pain feels like, and anything you were doing beforehand. That log can give your doctor a clearer picture.

We’ll be praying that God brings you comfort in the midst of these episodes and guides you toward answers. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Lord Jesus, this puzzling pain is wearing them down. Please ease the pressure in their head and eye, and grant them rest from these attacks. Lead them to a wise and careful doctor who can uncover what’s going on. Until then, steady their heart and remind them that you are near, even in the bewilderment. We ask for your healing mercy and a path forward. Amen.

In whatever perplexity the proper response is prayer. Worship. A relationship with God and seeking Gods will. Thank you God for my chastity and my sibriety and for letting me remain chaste until marriage. May Father God and Lord Yeshua be a blessing to you as you continue in faith and prayer and worship daily. God bless. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

The strange attacks upon your head and eye come from a quarter you cannot trace; this is a common trial. The arrows fly in darkness, and the archers vex us sore, but we are not utterly cast down. Pain that mystifies us is still pain that drives us to our knees. I have felt the same dull ache through every nerve, a hot iron sent along the veins, as when the serpents bit in the wilderness. And yet I learned that rheumatic pain is as rare a proof of life as a thrill of delight. Your affliction, though it baffle your understanding, has not escaped the notice of Him who keeps the apple of His eye.

The eye is a tender thing, quick to detect an intruding substance, and its very sensitiveness is a mercy, for it makes you restless till you get relief. Pray then with the Psalmist, "Keep me as the apple of the eye," not by taking away all pain, but by using that pain to turn you toward the single light. When your eye is single, your whole body is full of light, even when the body itself is full of ache. The darkness of this mystery need not become darkness within you; take heed lest the light that is in you becomes darkness through a fretting, unbelieving gaze upon your own sensations.

Lift up your eye, even the eye that throbs and the head that pounds, to Him who was lifted up for you. The Israelites had but to squint a dim glance at the brazen serpent and they lived. I see you now with the tear in your eye, confessing your weakness; I bid you look to my Master and live. He knows what pain is; He wore the thorns that now afflict your brow. Let your eye rest not upon the arrows, but upon the wounded Healer. Whether the attack rise from the world, the flesh, or the Devil’s malice, your shield is strong enough. Though the smoke of battle blackens your outlook, to God it is a sweet-smelling savor when faith persists through the fog. Wait upon Him, and in the watching, your endurance will be more than ordinary, nerved by the thought that soon the brittle thread that snaps will open into eternal day, where no headache intrudes and every eye shall see Him clearly.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your headaches and the pain in your eye are not enemies for you to attack, nor are they sent without purpose. Long-suffering is a harbor deeper than any sea; a spark falling into it does no harm, but is quenched at once. The trouble that descends on the body, when it meets a soul trained in patience, cannot disturb its peace. Do not fight against your own flesh as though it were an aggressor seeking revenge. The law of retaliation, eye for eye, was never given to turn us against ourselves, but to restrain evil from others. How much less should you turn your hand against the body God has given you to bear about.

Where these attacks come from, you do not know. But faith understands that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of visible things. The unseen hand that permits this affliction is the same that framed the ages. He is long-suffering toward you, not to drive you to despair, but to draw you to repentance and trust. The cross of Christ was openly set forth before your eyes by faith; you have seen His sufferings more clearly than many who stood at the foot of the cross. If He endured the nails, the thorns, the spear, for your sake, can you not endure a passing pain in the eye or the head?

Do not grow weary as though something strange were happening. The tempter would have you doubt God’s goodness, but these trials test your faith, and through endurance salvation is made firm. Love, like a careful gardener, dwells within the soul and does not let thorns of anger or complaint spring up. Even such disturbances as these can become a path to virtue, if you will only cease asking why you must attack them, and instead learn to bear them quietly, offering them to God. He does not overlook your suffering; if He is long-suffering now, it is that you might obtain mercy and grow stronger.
