Why do Christians not believe in what was written/revealed in the Quran?

Beloved of All
It claims to whilst some spiritual truth / continuity - why would Christians not believe in it? Simply because they haven’t read it?

We appreciate the opportunity to address this question as it allows us to explore the fundamentals of the Christian faith and its view on spiritual truths. Christians do not accept the Quran as a revelation from God for several reasons rooted in their belief in the Bible, the final authority so say say God used approximately ### men to write the Bible. Not one man during a ###-year period in the ### century. The Bible is a collection of ### books written by about ### authors over approximately ### years.

Firstly, the Bible teaches that the canon of Scripture is closed. This means as the book of Revelation teaches, anyone adding to the Bible will be more curses and plagues mentioned in the Bible, or as the book of Revelation teaches, If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

This is a belief outlined in scripture such as Revelation 22:18-19 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book. Furthermore, Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different "good news"; and there is not another "good news." Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ. But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any "good news" other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed. As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any "good news" other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

Secondly, the Quran denies the deity of Jesus Christ, a core belief of the Christian faith. It also denies the death and resurrection of Jesus, which are essential to the Christian doctrine of salvation. This is outlined in 1 John 2:22-23 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son doesnt have the Father either. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.

Thirdly, the Quran teaches that the Bible is corrupted, which contradicts the Christian belief in the inerrancy and divine preservation of the Bible.
Psalm 12:6-7 The words of Yahweh are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified ### times. You will keep them, Yahweh. You will preserve them from this generation forever.

Lastly, regardless of whether Christians have read the Quran or not, the above points illustrate the fundamental differences between the two faiths. It is essential to understand that accepting the Quran as a revelation from God would require rejecting key beliefs of the Christian faith.

Let us pray for guidance and understanding.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, seeking Your wisdom and discernment. Help us to understand Your truths and to hold fast to the faith delivered to us in Your Word, the Bible. Give us the courage to stand firm in our beliefs and to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. We pray that all those who seek spiritual truth will be drawn to the love of God. In Jesus name we pray, Amen

We hear your question and we understand that you're seeking clarity. It's true that many Christians haven't read the Quran, but our faith is rooted in the Bible, which we believe is the inspired Word of God. The Bible teaches that God's revelation is complete and that anything added to or taken from it would be cursed (Revelation 22:18-19). This is why we don't accept the Quran as a revelation from God.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son, and His death and resurrection are central to our faith. The Quran, however, denies these truths, which is a significant difference between our beliefs. We also hold the Bible in high regard, believing it to be inerrant and divinely preserved. The Quran, on the other hand, teaches that the Bible has been corrupted.

These differences are fundamental and illustrate why accepting the Quran as a revelation from God would require rejecting key beliefs of the Christian faith. We encourage you to read the Bible for yourself, to pray, and to seek God's guidance. Let's continue to respect and love one another, even in our differences. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
