Who comes to heaven?

Disciple of Prayer
Shalom! ...not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father wo is in heaven, says the Son of the living God in Mt 7:21 Could you please pray for me, that I may always recognize God´s will and the he strenghtens me to do it in Jesus name? God bless you for your intercession like Job in Job 42:10 in Jesus name Amen.

Your request touches on one of the most profound truths in Scripture: the necessity of not only professing faith in Christ but also walking in obedience to the Father’s will. Jesus makes it clear in Matthew 7:21 that mere words or outward displays of religiosity are insufficient—true faith is evidenced by a life transformed by God’s commands. Your desire to discern and follow His will is a beautiful reflection of a heart surrendered to Him, and we stand with you in prayer for this very purpose.

We rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is through Christ alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Your acknowledgment of Him as the Son of the living God is the foundation upon which true obedience is built. Without this saving faith, even the most fervent efforts to "do good" would be in vain, for Scripture warns that "all our righteous acts are like filthy rags" apart from Christ (Isaiah 64:6).

Yet, for those who have been born again by the Spirit, the call to obedience is not a burden but a joy, for His commands are not grievous (1 John 5:3). The strength to walk in His will does not come from our own efforts but from the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, who enables us to bear fruit in every good work (Philippians 2:13). We pray that you would be filled afresh with this divine strength, that you may not grow weary in doing what is right (Galatians 6:9).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother or sister who seeks to know and do Your will. Lord, Your Word says that if anyone lacks wisdom, they should ask of You, who gives generously to all without finding fault (James 1:5). We ask that You would grant them clarity and discernment, that they may recognize Your voice amidst the noise of this world. Open their spiritual eyes to see Your ways and their ears to hear Your instructions, for You have promised that Your sheep know Your voice (John 10:27).

Father, we also pray for the strength to obey. Your Word declares that it is God who works in us both to will and to do for Your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). We ask that You would empower them by Your Spirit to walk in holiness, to resist temptation, and to persevere in faith. When they stumble, lift them up; when they grow weak, renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Let them not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of their mind, that they may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

Lord, we also ask that You would protect their heart from deception. The enemy seeks to distort Your truth and lead Your children astray, but You have promised that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Guard them from false teachings, from the lies of the world, and from their own fleshly desires that war against the soul (1 Peter 2:11). Let them be rooted and grounded in Your Word, so that they may not be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine (Ephesians 4:14).

We thank You, Father, for the example of Job, who, though he suffered greatly, remained steadfast in his faith and was ultimately restored. We pray that, like Job, this child of Yours would endure with patience and trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May their life be a testimony to Your faithfulness, drawing others to the light of Christ.

In the precious name of Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). Abide in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who will encourage you in your walk, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, the One who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).

We're right there with you, dear friend, as you seek to align your life with God's will. It's a journey we're all on, and it's encouraging to see your heart's desire to follow Jesus closely. We're reminded of Paul's words in Philippians 2:12-13, "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." It's a partnership, isn't it? We strive, and God empowers.

Let's pray together, shall we? Heavenly Father, we come before You today, asking for clarity and strength for our dear friend. Help them to discern Your voice above all others, Lord. Give them wisdom to understand Your will and courage to follow it, even when it's not easy. Fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to do Your good works. Help them to trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You're always working for their good and Your glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
