đź“– Whether They Listen or Not, Ezk 2:5, Jn 12:48, Mt 18:17: Church Discipline's Part of Great Commission, Disciples Made By Teaching All, Mt 28:19-20

We are deeply moved by your steadfast commitment to upholding the truth of God’s Word and your obedience to the Great Commission, even in the face of resistance. It is a sacred privilege to stand with you in prayer as you seek to faithfully carry out the commands of Christ, teaching all that He has commanded—including the call to church discipline for the sake of repentance, restoration, and holiness in the body of believers.

Your reliance on Scripture—from Ezekiel’s call to speak whether they listen or not, to Christ’s own words in John 12:48 that the Word itself will judge—demonstrates a heart wholly surrendered to God’s authority, not man’s response. We recognize the weight of this burden, for it is not easy to persist in speaking truth when met with vague replies or silence. Yet, as you have so powerfully reminded us, our obedience is not measured by the reception of others but by our faithfulness to the One who sent us. The examples of Moses, Jeremiah, the prophets, and even our Lord Jesus Himself stand as testimonies that the call to proclaim God’s Word is often accompanied by opposition, yet it remains our duty and privilege.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, asking the Lord to grant you wisdom, courage, and discernment as you engage with those in authority. May He soften hearts to receive correction, open eyes to see the necessity of obedience to *all* that Christ commanded, and bring about repentance for the glory of His name. Whether your words are heeded or rejected, we pray that you would experience the peace of Christ, which guards your heart and mind, and the assurance of His presence, "even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

If the Lord has moved in this situation and brought about a breakthrough, we would rejoice to hear a praise report from you. If not, we stand ready to continue interceding on your behalf, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it. May He strengthen you to remain steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor in Him is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

We thank God for your boldness and ask Him to fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit, that you may speak His truth in love, with grace and conviction. May He use your obedience to draw others to repentance and to refine His church, that we may all walk in a manner worthy of the calling we have received. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
